Boottocht Isla Tortuga - vanuit Paquera

We had to reschedule our tour to the next day and they were very accommodating and understanding. It’s a family run business which is great, the family who greeted us was very friendly and inviting. The tour is about 6 hours, the first hour was a boat tour exploring monkey island and seeing spider monkey from the boat, also trying to spot turtles and other marine wildlife along with some history and fun facts on surrounding nature and rock formations. After we had up to an hour to snorkel by this big rock where we saw lots of beautiful fish. (it’s about a 20 min boat ride to where you snorkel close to the island) The last part was on tortuga island over two hours. (Free time) They provide a dedicated area with shade to eat provided lunch and plenty refreshments. We got to Choose between chicken/fish/ veggie option for lunch (day before). The island has a souvenir shop, banana boats and umbrella chairs, and also buy different kinds of drinks from Local vendors (for rent 4,000c each person on banana boat or umbrella chair from local vendor). Our tour with Bahia Rica also provided fruits, some brownies and cookies. I love that our tour had an area so you don’t need to worry about extra costs renting any seating. If you want to use the restroom on the island it’s $600 colones each time( pay for this at the gift shop). Overall I would recommend this tour. We were a family of 4 with two kids ages 9 and 14. Total passengers on boat including staff was 12. Bring plenty sunscreen and bug spray.

OMG! We had the BEST time! It was definitely worth the money, food was delicious, our guide Juan was AMAZING and we thoroughly enjoyed each part of the day. We swam, hung out on the beach, saw spider moneys and snorkeled (and got to see lots of fish, a shark, sea stars, sea urchins and an octopus)! Loved every bit of it!!!

Super fantastic. Great experience to be with nature and see a beautiful beach. Certainly something I would love to repeat.

Great guides. Shared history and culture of the area. Very easy going. Good lunch. Snorkeling was above average at the first stop. The second stop was average. Not sure CR is renowned for its snorkeling, so this is no fault of the guides.

We had looked at several different options and decided to go with BR Adventures…did we ever get lucky as it was excellent!! Juan was our guide, boat tour snorkelling twice then to Tortuga island for lunch… best day. Just do it, we will be back.

Great great great excursion to Tortuga including snorkelling and cruise. Juan was very knowledgeable and passionate - explaining the history of the islands. We saw a spotted ray, hundreds of assorted fish and a bottom feeding eel. Highly recommend Bahia rica tours.

I absolutely loved this boat ride! It was more intimate since there was about 10 of us onboard. We got to see beautiful aquatic life while snorkelling and learned a lot about the surrounding islands. Juan was a fabulous captain! This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Ana by boat tour with Shabby and the boat crew. We went out to sea and discovered 4 humpback whales on our trip which was incredible. The captain gave us great views without encroaching in the animals path. We also saw rays and dolphins as an added bonus. The staff are very professional putting safety first, and were very informative. Highly recommended.

Our captain Chatto was very attentive, knowledgeable and we had amazing time on the boat and on the island. We saw spider monkeys, whale with the baby whale, dolphins, lots of fish, seas stars, urchins, iguanas. The lunch was delicious and we had plenty of time to enjoy the beach and the swim on Tortuga island. We really enjoyed snorkeling. The area of arrival/departure has showers and changing rooms, very accommodating.

It was very good, we saw monkeys, turtle, whale and snorkelled. Very good experience the boat guide was good.
