Isimangaliso Wetlands Park werd in december 1999 vermeld als Zuid-Afrika's eerste werelderfgoedlocatie als erkenning voor zijn overtreffende trap natuurlijke schoonheid en unieke wereldwijde waarden. Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, voorheen Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, is het oudste uitgeroepen natuurreservaat in Afrika. Het bestaat uit 960 km² (96.000 ha) heuvelachtige topografie 280 kilometer (170 mijl) ten noorden van Durban in het centrum van KwaZulu-Natal, Zuid-Afrika en staat bekend om zijn rijke natuur en inspanningen voor natuurbehoud. U zult genieten van 2 dagen gamedrives en een Hippo and Croc Boat Cruise.

What a great 2 days as we embarked on a tour of Isimangaliso Wetlands Park & Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve 2 Day Tour From Durban. We had the best time in touch with nature and wildlife.
There were 3 of us travelling together and at Hluhluwe, we were the 3 on the game drive. The guide was great and we saw a Cheetah. We also so many hippos on the boat ride. We did not realize that Islmangallso was a drive-thru so we were with our driver not a guide. He tried very hard to ensure we saw some animals. My biggest complain was the accommodations. I booked this separately from my family members. I informed the operator that we were travelling together. I never asked to be put in the same unit as them. There were a lot of stairs which were difficult to someone in our group. The office closed early so we were not able to get the internet password. We were not informed in advance about load shedding (Power outage). There was one candle provided for three people. I emailed the operator that evening but never received a response.

My sister and I booked separately to ensure that we got separte places for the overnight . Insteasd they put us in a two bedroom apartment. We had to climb three flights of stairs to get to the bedrooms. Have to buy tokens to use the airconditioner but the office closed more than 1/2 hour before the posted time. Power sheding was in effect starting 1/2 hour after we got back from dinner. NO backup power. Emergency light over the stairs died 20 minutes after power was cut. Grill to close the stairs from the bedrooms is very dangerous in event of fire and in direct violation of all build codes if this was in the USA. Place felt dirty so we had to sleep with our close on
We sincerely apologise to our client for the terrible hotel experience. We did offer 2 bedroom accommodation as were required to do. The hotel has previously offered very good 4 star service. We think that in this case the problem was made worse by the extended load shedding which happened on the day. While the hotel has back up power, it was not sufficient on the day as the load shedding time exceeded normal.
