Ervaar alle grote attracties in Iron Gate National Park en maak de mooiste foto's van de legendarische blauwe Donau! Loop het middeleeuwse Golubac-fort binnen en observeer het breedste deel van de rivier de Donau. Maak een korte wandeling om Kovilovo Viewpoint te bereiken - met een prachtig uitzicht op Servië en Roemenië. Bekijk het smalste deel van de Donau en het hoogste rotsbeeld van de oude Roemeense koning. Bezoek de archeologische vindplaats Lepenski Vir en leer over het leven en de cultuur van de prehistorische mens.

De tour begint om 08.00 uur vanuit je accommodatie in Belgrado.
Na 2 uur rijden bereikt u het Golubac-fort, gebouwd in de 14e eeuw en gelegen bij de ingang van het Iron Gate National Park, waar de Donau het breedst is en de natuur het groenst.
Lepenski Vir, een nabijgelegen archeologische vindplaats, is de volgende op onze route. Deze verbazingwekkende plek is een van de oudste stedelijke nederzettingen in Europa en werd 8000 jaar geleden bevolkt.
Tour vervolgt met een schilderachtige rit door Iron Gate Gorge, de langste kloof binnen Europa, die bestaat uit vier kloven en drie valleien. De mooiste kloof is Mali en Veliki Kazan waar de Donau versmalt tot slechts 140 m en de diepte van meer dan 90 m bereikt. We stoppen bij het uitzichtpunt naast de weg om het mooiste deel van de Donau te bewonderen. Hier heeft u ook de geweldige kans om 's werelds beroemde attractie te zien - Het standbeeld van koning Decebalus, laatste koning van Dacia, dat het hoogste rotssculptuur binnen Europa vertegenwoordigt.
Keer terug naar Belgrado in de vroege avonduren. Zet je af bij je accommodatie.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Pick-up wordt georganiseerd van 7:30 tot 08:00 uur. Pick-up wordt aangeboden van centraal gelegen Belgrado hotels, appartementen, hostels, enz. (tot 5 km van het Plein van de Republiek). De gids wacht maximaal 5 minuten na de geplande ophaaltijd. Als uw accommodatie zich in het voetgangersgebied bevindt, kunt u worden gevraagd om de gids te ontmoeten op de ophaallocatie op maximaal 2 minuten lopen van uw accommodatie. Haal de gegevens die je de dag voor vertrek via e-mail of Whats App ontvangt niet voor 17.00 uur op.

- Fort Golubac - Ticket geeft alleen toegang tot de Groene Zone van het fort. De andere zones zijn alleen beschikbaar tijdens een privétour. Opmerking: voor toegang tot de hogere niveaus van het fort zijn geschikte kleding en schoenen vereist.
- Voor deze activiteit is een minimum van 4 personen vereist (gedeelde optie). Deze ervaring vereist een minimum aantal reizigers. Als het wordt geannuleerd omdat het minimum niet wordt gehaald, krijg je een andere datum/ervaring of een volledige terugbetaling aangeboden.

Very good tour with the best guide Jelena and an excellent driver. Lots of information to get about history and nature from Jelena. Great viewpoints on the border between Serbia and Romania.

It was a great tour, combined history, amazing nature , some trekking. Our guide Nina and driver Ljubos made our trip very pleasant. We could enjoy the best views of the valley and rivers. We were provided with bottled cold water, we had testing of 2 kind of rakia( Serbian drink), tickets were included to the trip price. I highly recommend this excursion and this team!

I have made 2 full day tours: Iron Gate National Park and Gems of Eastern Serbia. I liked both the tours, they are very interesting to explore the Serbia on the east. The guides Nina and Jelena were very nice. I really enjoyed with them. Also the driver (Ranko) was fantastic. He always drives professional with the correct speed. Golubac Fortress was the one landmark I really wanted to see outside of Belgrade during my trip to Serbia, so I was glad Serbia Inspired Tours was flexible, allowing the tour to still operate even though we were below the minimum participant number with a surcharge. Jelena was informative and energetic, and our driver, Milan, made the tour extra special by sharing his rakia. In general, it was fantastic spending the day with both of them. The drive to the national park is long, but it's well worth it with the amount of stops this company makes.

Jelena was a fabulous guide and Ranko was an excellent driver. Glubac Fortress was windy but worth the visit. The Palace had wonderful exhibits, a movie, and some medieval weaponry. We went to a wonderful archeological site that was very informative. Jelena put us through our paces on a hike to a fantastic overlook. The statue of Decelabus was amazing. A highlight for me. After visiting several sights we went to a lovely restaurant with terrific food and service, Mirocka Dolina. Definitely try the stuffed mushrooms and fried cheese with honey. The end to a marvelous day.

Our guide, Jelena, was amazing. Our driver, Ranko, was very nice and drove safely. Golubac Fortress is marvelous. We walked up into some ramparts for some spectacular views of the Danube River at its widest. There was an art exhibit in the palace and some medieval relics. Two people were dressed in period pieces and they let us hold a falcon. Our next stop was a very interesting archeological site. Unearthed in the mid-1960s by students from Belgrade University. Next we took a long hike to a spectacular overlook of the river. Then we went to the narrowest part of the Danube and continued to an overlook of Decebalus, a giant stone carving in the gorge in Iron Gate National Park. Magnificent!!! After a couple more stops Jelena took us to the Mirocka Dolina restaurant to eat. We shared fried cheese with honey, mushrooms stuffed with cheese, tomato, and ham. Then we had a schnitzel, Serbian style. It is meat, pork for ours, with cheese in the middle, rolled, breaded, and fried. It was served with french fries. Everything was delicious. I can't say enough about how wonderful this trip is.
