What an amazing way to spend a morning getting to known a city through traditional coffee, cheese and “ bougatsa” shops topped off by a cooking demonstration for a traditional cheese pie and then - lunch! Highly recommend this easily paced tour led by the passionate and knowledgeable owner Georgos - a young owner operated operation who deserves full praise for his entrepreneurship! MUST DO IOANINNA.

George was beyond amazing and set up the most wonderful guided food tour of the city. His deep passion and knowledge for his home town was so insightful and his personal and unique selections for authentic/ local eateries with the most delicious cuisine were divine. We especially loved our cheese tasting at Eleftheria and our spinach pie demonstration and traditional lunch at Paris Resturant -Arte Povera . In addition George selected our guide for our hikes in Zagoria which were beyond breathtaking . We were so impressed with George’s attention to detail and his love for his work that we recommend him in the highest regard and would love to work with him again! Anyone coming to ioannina MUST spend a day with George to truly capture the most of the city and have an authentic, fun, perfect day!!! You will be sad to say goodbye to Ioannina and George!!!

It was a nice and tasty walk both inside and outside the castle walls. George told a lot about Ioannina history, politics, living-style and food. I've tasted local products and dishes and had a lot of fun and learning. Local cheeses are great and coffee is tender and creamy.

I booked my entire three week trip to Greece through Georgio, Epirus Adventures. Georgio took us on this food tour to places he has frequented since childhood. It was wonderful to visit places that the locals go to and experience the local cuisine and culture.
