Het hoogtepunt van de tour is het bezoek aan Dunrobin Castle and Gardens, waar twee keer per dag een valkerijshow in de tuinen plaatsvindt. De Tour verkent ook het klassieke Highland-landschap, een bezoek van een uur aan de historische stad Dornoch, heerlijk eten en drinken en we voltooien de Tour met een bezoek aan een whiskydistilleerderij

Lokaal bekend als Millionaires Viewpoint moet dit 2 van de meest schilderachtige scènes in de Schotse Hooglanden zijn. De naam is afkomstig van de ondernemer Andrew Carnaigie, wiens huis ooit het kasteel van Skibo was. Er wordt gezegd dat hij al zijn bezoekende vrienden naar dit punt zou brengen om hen de standpunten te laten zien.
Dunrobin Castle is een statig huis in Sutherland, in het Highland-gebied van Schotland, en de familiezetel van de graaf van Sutherland en de Clan Sutherland. Het ligt 1,6 km ten noorden van Golspie en ongeveer 8 km ten zuiden van Brora, met uitzicht op de Dornoch OPMERKING - DUNROBIN CASTLE IS GESLOTEN VAN NOVEMBER TOT APRIL Alleen de buitenkant van het kasteel kan in deze maanden worden bezocht.
De meest zichtbare zoogdieren bij Loch Fleet zijn zeehonden: gewone zeehonden zijn het hele jaar door te zien vanaf de openbare weg in Skelbo en grijze zeehonden bezoeken tijdens de wintermaanden. Otter- en pipistrelle-vleermuizen zijn hier ook te vinden, samen met andere typische Schotse landzoogdieren zoals reeën, vossen, dennenmarter en wezel. Rode eekhoorns en Schotse wilde stakingen zijn opgenomen in het gebied,
De naam 'Dornoch' is afgeleid van het Gaelisch voor 'kiezelplaats', wat suggereert dat het gebied kiezels bevatte ter grootte van een vuist (doorn) die daarom als wapens kon worden gebruikt. [4] Dornoch heeft de dertiende-eeuwse kathedraal van Dornoch, de oude gevangenis en het voormalige bisschoppelijk paleis dat nu het bekende hotel is, het kasteel van Dornoch en een opmerkelijke golfbaan, de Royal Dornoch Golf Club, uitgeroepen tot de 5e beste golfbaan buiten de golfbaan Verenigde Staten. Het is ook opmerkelijk omdat de laatste plaats waar een heks werd verbrand in Schotland. Haar naam werd gerapporteerd als Janet Horne; ze werd berecht en ter dood veroordeeld in 1727. Er is een steen, de Witch's Stone, ter herdenking van haar dood, ingeschreven met het jaar 1722

My husband and I very much enjoyed our tour with George as our kilted guide! He provided interesting and informative commentary as we drove through the Scottish countryside to the most stunning castle and incredible gardens and falconry show. We had spectacular weather and plenty of time to explore at the castle stop! George also stopped at Royal Dornoch golf course to pick up a score card for my niece. She was thrilled! Balblair distillery wasn’t available so we changed to Glenmorangie which was a great experience. He was always checking to see if we needed the restrooms and was aware of their locations along the route. We can’t recommend this tour enough. One of the best tours we did on our 38 day trip to the British isles.

This was an 7-8 hour full day tour and George, our driver from the Mackintosh clan was excellent. He talks about each neighborhood giving a full description and tons of pointers. The Dunrobin Castle is a fabulous tour and we all truly enjoyed it, including my 3 year old granddaughter! My daughters said this was the best day ever.

Wonderful trip with Roger our guide & driver. We stopped at many beautiful spots, from falls to scenic overlooks, to cathedrals. There were only 6 of us, so had a very comfortable ride too. Roger was very informative & funny, & made the tour so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour.

Very flexible if you want to make changes along the way. Very small group. Only six people in a van. Very comfortable. George was very knowledgeable of area and history.

It was exactly as described. The Scottish countryside was beautiful and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Dunrobin castle is a must see and we also enjoyed the whiskey tour. Great way to see this part of Scotland!

Hands down, one of the best tours we have taken in Scotland! Our guide was a wealth of information and tailor made everything to exactly what we wanted— more or less time at the various sites. As we were off the cruise ship he was also very cognizant of our all-aboard time and got us back to the ship with time to spare! Highly recommend this to one and all! A great tour! And George was the best guide as well— if you get a chance take his tour!!!

George was a fantastic tour guide! He was charismatic, knowledgeable, good natured, and pretty much knew everyone on the route!
