Vroeger waren er honderden sebiljs (kioskvormige openbare fonteinen) in Sarajevo, maar tegenwoordig is de laatste te vinden op het Baščaršija-plein, waar het een belangrijk symbool van de stad is. De locatie rond Sebilj wordt ook wel "Duivenplein" genoemd en dient als een geweldige fotoplek.
Kazandžiluk is een van de oudste en meest herkenbare straten van Sarajevo en maakte vroeger deel uit van de veel grotere Kazandžijska Čaršija, die de nabijgelegen straten Luledžina en Oprkanj in beslag nam. Kazandžiluk ontleent zijn naam aan de kazandžijas, meester-metaalbewerkers en kopersmeden die eerst begonnen met het produceren van ketels voor het leger en later begonnen met het maken van andere koperen vaten en voorwerpen voor dagelijks gebruik (kannetjes, kruiken, koffiepotten, metalen tafelbladen, dienbladen). Op het hoogtepunt van de "Gouden Eeuw" van het Ottomaanse Sarajevo, produceerden kopersmeden ongeveer honderd verschillende soorten items.
Het meest representatieve gebouw uit de Oostenrijks-Hongaarse periode werd voltooid in 1896. Een beroemd voorbeeld van neo-Moorse architectuur is geïnspireerd op islamitische kunst in Spanje en Noord-Afrika.
Een plek die de wereld heeft veranderd, ligt direct naast de beroemde Latijnse Brug. Kom meer te weten over de moord op aartshertog Franz Ferdinand en Sophie.
Gazi Husrev Bey's Bezistan (overdekte bazaar), ook wel Oud Bezistan en Groot Bezistan genoemd, maakt deel uit van Gazi Husrev Bey's vakuf (schenking). Aangenomen wordt dat het bouwwerk omstreeks 1540 is gebouwd.
Gebouwd in de 16e eeuw, het is de grootste historische moskee in Bosnië en Herzegovina en een van de meest representatieve Ottomaanse bouwwerken in de Balkan. Als de centrale moskee van Sarajevo sinds de dagen van de bouw, dient het tegenwoordig ook als de belangrijkste gemeentelijke moskee van de moslims in Bosnië en Herzegovina.
Josip Vancaš, een Hongaarse architect, liet zich voor het ontwerp van de kathedraal van Sarajevo inspireren door de Notre Dame in Dijon, Frankrijk en de St. Teyn-kathedraal in Praag. Dankzij het grote talent van Vancaš werd de kathedraal van Sarajevo een geheel nieuw en authentiek gebouw en past ze ook nog eens prachtig in de omgeving, met de Hamam (Turks bad) van Gazi Husrev Bey op de achtergrond.
Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures is waar Oost en West elkaar ontmoeten en een locatie van waaruit we het unieke karakter van Sarajevo echt kunnen zien door twee totaal verschillende foto's vanaf dezelfde plek te maken.

This was an excellent orientation to the history of Sarajevo as well as many of the must see (and photograph) sites of Old Town. Kenan was an enthusiastic guide for his birth city. I had an amazing tour in this magical place. beside the great and top quality photos that I went back home with, the tour was very useful and full of interesting stories. the tour guide Hanna was super friendly and also full of knowledge about Sarajevo history and the architecture of the buildings. I did another tour with this agency, and they asked me if i was interested in this new tour of Sarajevo that they were offering. I thought, why not! Overall a great experience. I got some nice photos to post on my socials as well as to show my friends and family. The photographer/guide, Hana, was very friendly and told me some interesting stories about each of the places we took photos at. The photos came out great quality. Absolutely recommend this to anybody who would like to have good photos from their trip to Sarajevo, for any reason.
