Je gaat het volgende onderzoeken: Een voormalig clandestien centrum, vaak het Auschwitz van Argentinië genoemd. Je zult niet de gebieden verkennen die gesloten zijn terwijl archeologische technieken van restauratie, conservering en het verzamelen van bewijsmateriaal vorderen. We kunnen het Ex-clandestiene centrum niet binnengaan. We kunnen rondlopen op de plek waar we ongelooflijke muurschilderingen (schilderijen en graffiti) over het onderwerp kunnen vinden. De individuen, geschiedenis en strijd die ze vertegenwoordigen. Eigenlijk werd een deel van het Ex-clandestiene centrum ontmanteld voordat de democratie terugkeerde en de delen van de cellen werden gesloopt, enz. en de meest interessante dingen zijn voor het grootste deel gemakkelijk van buitenaf te zien. Gedenkplaten van de verdwenen mensen. U zult enkele opgenomen getuigenissen horen. Een clandestien centrum voor detentie, marteling en vernietiging was een plaats gewijd aan de ontvoering en marteling van vermoedelijke dissidenten. Ze functioneerden tijdens de laatste militaire dictatuur die plaatsvond van 1976 tot 1983.

- Opmerking : We lopen slechts ongeveer 7 blokken tijdens deze ervaring, maar verwacht enkele perioden van stand tijdens onze diepgaande historische discussies. Draag comfortabele wandelschoenen en kleding die geschikt is voor het weer. Als het regent, kleed je dan goed aan en vraag je hotel om een paraplu te lenen.

Footsteps of Dictators tour - my daughter (21 years) and I did this tour and learned so much. The lived experience of our guide, the actual sites of detention centers, and many details around the city really cemented the history for us. My daughter had not known the history prior to our trip to Argentina. I was about the same age as our guide, and it was surreal when she and I compared memories (I lived in the USA but had heard about the dirty war, etc., while she was living through it). There were also parallels from that time to what is going on now in the USA. The tour does not cover miles and miles, so in other words, you do not have to worry about walking far and getting exhausted. It is a niche tour, so if you already have an idea of Argentina/Buenos Aires/history/culture, it will help. Our guide was EXCELLENT - very knowledgeable, excellent and explaining the history and excellent English so easy to understand. Thanks you!

One of the characteristics of the Argentine dictatorship was torture and detention centers dispersed throughout the city and country. The ESMA museum and memorial park were wonderful, but this was a powerful complement--a tour with someone who's really studied the history, whose English is fluent, and who had friends and relatives personally touched and in some ways disappeared by the dictatorship. Just a really moving experience that also helped give us a sense of Argentina's complicated political history, as well as the dictatorship. Highly recommended.

This was a very interesting tour, albeit very sad. Elisa our guide was very knowledgeable, personable and spoke great English ( although quite fast). We were picked up by car from the meeting point and driven to a spot a few minutes away. We walked a short distance to one of the custody centres where the “desparecidos” were taken for interrogation. The tour was centred around this building so there is a lot of standing up but it was definitely worth it. Elisa explained a lot of the murals and graffiti on the building and gave us a real insight into the history of Buenos Aires in the 1970s. Such sad stories and Elisa had a lot of accounts from people she knew or things she or her family had seen. We had a private tour so just the 2 of us and it was £80 so not cheap but not expensive for 2 1/2 hours. Elisa then sent us a link to some articles to read and films to watch. If you are interested in history it’s a good tour to do and a little different from the standard city tours. We would recommend.
