Ons Expert team van mariene wetenschappers is sinds 2006 de enige cruise naar Ile Des Phoques en Maria Island. Uw cruise naar het Ile Des Phoques (zeehondeneiland) zal het prachtige uitzicht op Maria Island vastleggen, inclusief beroemde bezienswaardigheden zoals de geverfde kliffen en fossiele kliffen, gigantische zeegrotten, bergtoppen en de prachtige granieten kliffen van de oostkust van Maria Island. Award winnende en enige cruise en dag tour om zeehonden, dolfijnen, wombats, kangoeroes, adelaars, wallabies, albatros en walvissen te bekijken (tijdens de migratie), beroemde geologie en UNESCO veroordeelden geschiedenis. Uw tour vertrekt vanuit Triabunna (ongeveer 1 - uur en 15 - minuten van Hobart). Inclusief een 4 uur durende schilderachtige cruise van Maria Island met een verblijf van 2 uur op het eiland. Op weg naar Ile Des Phoques kunt u albatrossen, dolfijnen, Australische pelsrobben en walvissen zien (afhankelijk van de tijd van het jaar), evenals majestueuze panoramische uitzichten op Maria Island en het schiereiland Freycinet. Eenmaal op Ile Des Phoques zullen we bij de pelsrobben zitten en meer te weten komen over hun thuis op Ile Des Phoques, hun herstel van bijna uitsterven door commerciële zeehondenjacht en hoe ze nu voor het eerst in meer dan 200 jaar weer broeden op Ile Des Phoques. We zullen 's ochtends genieten van thee, koffie en gebak met de zeehonden en vervolgens de opmerkelijke gigantische Rainbow Caves verkennen. Deze grotten zijn de grootste granieten zeegrotten in Australië, mogelijk de wereld. Voel de emotie en schoonheid van de natuur terwijl we ons diep in de grotten wagen aan boord van de cruiseboot.
Na je tijd doorgebracht te hebben op Ile Des Phoques, reizen we naar Maria Island voor een heerlijke lunch met lokale wijn aan boord van onze cruiseboot naast een prachtig wit zandstrand. Na de lunch meren we aan bij de steiger en brengen we de middag door op Maria Island voor een begeleide wandeling waarin we de geschiedenis van de veroordeelde nederzetting in Darlington verkennen en tijd doorbrengen met de wombats en kangoeroes die er wonen. *Let op, als slecht weer de cruise naar het Ile Des Phoques verhindert, zal de cruise worden gewijzigd om Maria Island te omzeilen. De lunch wordt tijdens de rondleiding vanuit ons café verzorgd als een grote gezonde slakom. Een verscheidenheid aan salade-lunchopties zijn onder andere; kipfilet in pesto aioli, gerookte zalm, rosbief, beenham of vegetarisch/vegan. Je kunt een zelfgemaakte bacon & cheese quiche of pompoen en feta quiche toevoegen en overstappen op een halve salade. U krijgt ook een gratis drankje van thee, koffie, sap, frisdrank, lokale wijnen en Tasmaanse premium groter.
's Middags meren beide tours aan in Darlington. De perfecte aanvulling op uw cruise is om uw benen te strekken en te genieten van een rondleiding door Darlington's fascinerende verzameling bewaard gebleven gebouwen van veroordeelden, meer te weten te komen over de opmerkelijke geschiedenis van de stad en oog in oog te staan met de wombats van Maria Island. Als geschiedenis niets voor jou is, geniet dan gewoon van de zon op het witte zandstrand van Darlington of zwem/snorkel in de wateren van het zeereservaat van Maria Island. Hotel pick-up is beschikbaar voor gasten die in Hobart verblijven! Reis in stijl met onze eigen comfortabele bus in plaats van een auto te huren. Onze shuttlebus brengt je van Hobart naar Triabunna langs de pittoreske Tasman Highway en als de tijd het toelaat, stoppen we in het historische stadje Richmond om een aantal prachtige souvenirfoto's te maken. De reistijd is 1 uur en 15 minuten met de bus. Kosten voor de bus zijn $25pp retour. De cruise vertrekt om 9.00 uur vanuit Triabunna en keert terug om 16.30 uur

The best tour I have ever done in Tasmania. Well organised, well run, wonderful crew and the most spectacular scenery. The day could not have been better.
Our recent tour received a five-star rating from our group of four. The weather conditions were ideal. We arrived early and enjoyed coffee and breakfast at the cafe. The highlight of our day was undoubtedly the Ile Des Phoques cave and the seal encounters. Additionally, the painted cliffs and Maria Island presented remarkable natural beauty. The provided lunch was exceptionally flavorful and generously portioned. The staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness and approachability. We extend our sincere gratitude for an outstanding day.
Visited Ile des Phoques with a group of 14 people and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I boarded the bus from the Hobart CBD pickup location, and Racheal picked me up right on time. We arrived in Triabunna promptly and everything throughout the day was extremely well organized. The entire trip was excellent. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, seals, and the stunning Rainbow Caves. We also enjoyed a guided walk around Maria Island and took plenty of photos of the amazing wildlife, especially the cute wombats. The staff were outstanding, the lunch was excellent, and the whole experience was memorable and enjoyable. A big thank you to Racheal, Micheal, and Steve for making the trip so special. Amazing experience. Both the boat captain, Michael, and guide Freya were great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The time spent at the seals, sea caves, and on the island was perfect. Lots of historical commentary as we were on the tour. The boat was comfortable. Great value for money.

We had an amazing experience with Freya and Steve on our island cruise and tour. Steve’s boating skills must be second to none the way he navigated the caves. Freya was so awesome as well. Well priced for the experience and inclusions. A full day with these legends is well worth it. The atmosphere on the boat and the guided walk was great. The commentary was both informative and entertaining. We seen the beautiful caves, dolphins frolicking, whales breaching and seals swimming/sunbaking on the rocks in their colony. The whole trip exceeded expectations.

We had the most incredible experience exploring Maria Island—this trip was truly something special. From the moment we arrived, the scenery was breathtaking, with crystal clear water, rugged cliffs, and that peaceful, untouched feeling you just don’t get everywhere. Seeing the wildlife up close was a real highlight—wombats casually wandering around, Cape Barren geese, and so much birdlife. It felt like stepping into their world. The seals were another standout, playful and full of character, especially watching them out on the rocks and in the water. The caves and cliffs were absolutely stunning, with the colours and textures of the rock formations creating such a unique landscape. Cruising into the caves was unforgettable—the light hitting the water inside was just magic. Everything about the day felt well-paced and relaxed, giving us time to take it all in without feeling rushed. It’s one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to see some of Tasmania’s most beautiful and untouched natural scenery—you won’t be disappointed.

Cruise was well run with a clear plan for the day activities. Nonetheless we diverted somewhat as a whale was spotted along with a tuna fish pod. We witnessed a spectacular display from the whale for over an hour. And still saw the beautiful coastline and caves. Would recommend to anyone considering as it is unique to other types along the east cost. We actually did this trip back in 2018 and they have maintained the quality offering.
