Het berijden van het IJslandse paard is een must-do tijdens uw bezoek. Het verbindt je met de IJslandse geschiedenis en laat je de meest authentieke reismethode ervaren die er in IJsland is. De Lava tour is een populairder en ideaal avontuur voor zowel beginners als ervaren ruiters. Tijdens de tour rijdt u in prachtige landschappen door lavavelden, groene heuvels en geniet u van een bergzicht. Voor 1,5 tot 2 uur, of 4 uur met transfer, biedt uw tour u een ontspannende koffie, thee of warme chocolademelk. Inbegrepen zijn rijhelmen, rubberen laarzen, regenkleding of warme outfit voor uw rit.

Selecteer uw ophaalpunt uit de lijst. OPMERKING : Als uw hotel of bushalte niet in de lijst staat, neem dan rechtstreeks contact met ons op zodat we het dichtstbijzijnde opstappunt voor u kunnen vinden. Wij halen alleen op bij geselecteerde ophaalpunten in Reykjavik. Pick-up moet vooraf worden geboekt. Zorg ervoor dat u een tour met pick-up inbegrepen hebt gekozen. Let op: de gewichtslimiet op onze tours is 110kg/240lbs en de leeftijdsgrens is 7 jaar oud.

- Als u in uw eigen auto arriveert, moet u 30 minuten voordat uw tour begint in de stallen zijn
- Vanwege mogelijke schade aan ongeboren kinderen kunnen zwangere vrouwen niet meerijden op onze tours
- Alle ruiters moeten het paard op eigen kracht vanaf de grond kunnen bestijgen
- In onze reizen mogen maximaal twee kinderen of jongeren met elke volwassene reizen, waarbij de volle prijs wordt betaald

Great group of kind and helpful ladies! If you’re a beginner, they choose a nice horse for you. If you’re an expert or have rode before, they will choose a different horse for you. Reason being, after 15 minutes of riding, you can choose to go a slow pace or a faster pace with a horse. The group separates off into two. The slow pace - you get a more relaxed, scenic experience. Faster pace group, I presume it’s more about the ride. Either way, it was a nice ride! They help get you on the horse and everything. Some children were riding by themselves too and they had a pleasant time riding. Got to pet the horses after. Definitely a great experience!
A fantastic and convenient horse back riding trip from Reykjavik. Getting picked up from one of the local bus stops was very convenient. All of the guides were helpful and friendly. The horses were amazing and very approachable. Highly recommend Ishestar Horse Riding Tours for a fun, simple day trip.
What a wonderful time. The horses are beautiful and sweet tempered. The guides were helpful and informative. Well organized. Had a fabulous time even if the weather didn’t cooperate.
Amazing experience! The horses are so sweet and well cared for. I like that they split off a group for experienced riders so we could experience the different gaits of the Icelandic horses. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I could’ve stayed here all day!!
We really enjoyed this tour. The ride through the lava fields was very scenic. The horses were all very well behaved apart from the occasional sneaky try for a quick munch of the local vegetation but one quick pull of the reins and they would willingly move on. The staff were excellant...they really made the tour special. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for this type of experience.

Make sure you wear clothes that you don't mind if they get dirty. Also if you ride more that trail (like the faster ride) you may need gloves

Great experience, great staff, horses were excellent. Make sure you go with the experienced group and not beginners group, even if you are a beginner! Gives you a much fuller experience!
Disappointing that we who got to ride with a little speed, only got to try trav, and neither tullt nor passage. Thought it should be a bit of the experience of riding the island horse. In addition, the whole trip was on the grus trail and therefore little experience
