Op geselecteerde dagen verzorgen wij speciale afvaarten die zijn afgestemd op de openingstijden van cruisehavens, zodat u kunt genieten van de Golden Circle en comfortabel op tijd naar uw schip kunt terugkeren. In het Þingvellir National Park zullen reizigers een van IJslands meest historische en geologisch belangrijke bezienswaardigheden verkennen. Wandel tussen de Noord-Amerikaanse en Euraziatische tektonische platen, bezoek het gebied waar 's werelds oudste parlement werd opgericht en geniet van uitzicht op lavavelden, kliffen en helder bronwater. De Gids zal de geschiedenis, geologie en cultureel belang van de site uitleggen tijdens een korte wandeling door het park.
Bij de Gullfoss waterval zullen reizigers een van de krachtigste en meest iconische natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden van IJsland ervaren. De rivier Hvítá stroomt in twee dramatische etappes in een diepe canyon, waardoor mist en indrukwekkende uitzichten ontstaan vanaf verschillende wandelpaden. De Gids zal inzicht delen in de vorming, geschiedenis en de rol van de waterval in het natuurlijke erfgoed van IJsland.
In het geothermische gebied Geysir verkennen reizigers een actief geothermisch landschap gevuld met dampende bronnen en borrelende warmwaterbronnen. Het hoogtepunt is de Strokkur-geiser, die regelmatig uitbarst en om de paar minuten heet water hoog de lucht in stuurt. De Gids zal de geothermische activiteit van het gebied uitleggen en wat deze natuurlijke uitbarstingen veroorzaakt.
Kerið is een opvallende vulkanische krater die bekend staat om zijn levendige rode hellingen en turquoise meer op de bodem. Bezoekers kunnen langs de rand wandelen voor een panoramisch uitzicht op de krater en het omliggende landschap, of een veilig pad volgen naar het meer zelf. De site biedt een goede kijk op de vulkanische geologie van IJsland en is een gemakkelijke, toegankelijke stop die tijd biedt voor foto's en korte wandelingen.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophaal- en vergadertijd begint om 09:00 uur en kan tot 30 minuten duren. Als u voor afhalen heeft gekozen, wees dan klaar en wacht op de door u gekozen afhaallocatie vanaf 09:00 uur. Als u niet opgehaald wilt worden, kunt u ons ontmoeten op : Bushalte #12 – Höfðatorg Þórunnartún 6, 105 Reykjavík De bus komt aan tussen 09:00 en 09:30. Belangrijk voor passagiers van cruiseschepen: Als u Reykjavík bezoekt op een cruiseschip, volg dan de ophaal- en vergadertijd die op uw voucher staat vermeld. Op cruisedagen hebben we vaak speciale vertrektijden die zijn afgestemd op de vaarschema's, en het tijdstip dat u tijdens het boeken hebt geselecteerd, is het juiste tijdstip voor uw tour.

Viktoria was awesome! I almost missed this day due to lengthy customs; NCL said anything after 11:00 would be fine, but I barely made it to the bus by 11:15, I had to explain my case to two agents to get through. Fran and Lee are very warm and accommodating. Our flight was delayed and then canceled, we were not able to make the planed excursion, they switched us to a later date, so we don’t miss the opportunity. Their effort made us feel much better in the frustration circumstance due to the cancellation of the flight.

I wanted a value trip around typical locations like waterfalls, craters etc and this was fantastic. The guides were great (as all the guides are, I have discovered) and friendly. I did think we stayed a little too long at certain points. But that may just be me. Got great photos of gysers and all sorts. The best value activity I did on my trip.
