Met onze vloot van milieuvriendelijke elektrische tuk tuks bieden wij een unieke en milieubewuste manier om deze prachtige Dalmatische stad te verkennen. Ons ervaren team heeft elk seizoen honderden tours uitgevoerd, waarbij de charme, geschiedenis en verborgen pareltjes van Šibenik aan bezoekers uit de hele wereld werden getoond. Nadat we zijn opgehaald op de afgesproken locatie, maken we een korte rit naar de eerste halte langs de straten van Šibenik, waar u kunt genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op het landschap van Šibenik, met uitzicht op de zee en de Šibenik-eilanden. Na de pick-up beginnen we aan een gemakkelijke rit door de prachtige straten van Šibenik, helemaal tot aan het Dražen Petrović Monument en de speeltuin. Dražen Petrović was de beste Kroatische basketballer en een van de bekendste sportfiguren uit Šibenik. Onze coureur zal wat meer vertellen over de glorieuze tijden toen Dražen voor de lokale club en het nationale team speelde.
Het Barone Fort (ook bekend als Šubićevac Fort; Kroatisch: Tvrđava Barone of Tvrđava Šubićevac) is een fort gebouwd in 1646 op de Vidakuša heuvel boven de stad. Het fort werd nieuw leven ingeblazen en heropend in januari 2016. Net als het gerenoveerde St. Michael's Fortress in 2014 won ook Barone Fortress in 2016 de nationale Culturele Attractie van het Jaar Award. Het biedt zijn bezoekers nu een digitale rondleiding door het verleden van Šibenik via een augmented reality-platform en andere multimediafuncties.
Sint-Jansfort (Ook bekend als Tanaja; Kroatisch: Tvrđava sv. Ivana) ligt bovenop een heuvel ten noorden van het historische centrum van de stad. Het werd genoemd naar een middeleeuwse kerk gewijd aan Sint-Jan de Doper, die er al minstens sinds 1444 stond. Het fort, samen met het aangrenzende Barone Fort, werd gebouwd tijdens de Kretenzische Oorlog en sloeg opeenvolgende Ottomaanse aanvallen met succes af in 1646 en 1647. De lokale naam voor het fort, Tanaja, komt van een van de structuren, een tangvormige uitbouw, of tenaille (Italiaans: tenaglia).
St. Michael's Fortress is een middeleeuws fort gelegen op een steile heuvel boven het oude historische centrum van de stad. Het fort is vernoemd naar de oudste kerk van Šibenik, de Sint-Michielskerk, die zich binnen de muren bevond. Een theorie suggereert dat de kerk werd gebouwd tijdens de eerste golf van de christendom van Kroatië, van de late 8e tot de vroege 9e eeuw. Sinds de heropening in juli 2014 is het openlucht zomerpodium van het fort een belangrijk onderdeel van het culturele leven van Šibenik geworden. Tegenwoordig is het het op een na meest bezochte erfgoedmonument in Šibenik, evenals het op een na meest bezochte fort in Kroatië.
Het nieuwe centrale plein van Šibenik met archeologisch park en een garage/logistiek centrum eronder is ontworpen als een geïntegreerd stedelijk, sociaal en infrastructureel veld dat een open dialoog creëert tussen de middeleeuwse, moderne en hedendaagse stad, waardoor een enorme gemeenschap van verbazingwekkend potentieel ontstaat die de hemel omhoog houdt.
De Kathedraal van St. James is een van de belangrijkste en mooiste architectonische prestaties in Kroatië en is sinds 2000 opgenomen op de UNESCO-werelderfgoedlijst. Het werd gebouwd over een periode van meer dan honderd jaar, tijdens de 15e en 16e eeuw, en is uniek omdat het volledig van steen is gebouwd. De belangrijkste bouwers van de kathedraal waren Juraj Dalmatinac (Georgius Mathei Dalmaticus) en Nikola Firentinac (Niccolò di Giovanni Fiorentino). Aanvankelijk gebouwd in de gotische stijl, werd het later voltooid in de renaissancestijl. Onze laatste stop bij de kathedraal is perfect voor een korte wandeling door het voetgangersgebied, zodat u een deel van de rijke geschiedenis van Šibenik kunt verkennen en de lokale levensstijl van vandaag kunt ervaren.
Na een mooie stadsrit brengt uw chauffeur u naar het stadscentrum van Šibenik, om Kroatische lokale wijnen te ervaren en onze lokale vrienden te ontmoeten, het runnen van het kleine restaurant in een prachtige tuin - met aanbod van verschillende lokale wijnen en heerlijk eten. De wijnproeverij bestaat uit 3 lokale wijnsoorten en kleine hapjes, meestal niet langer dan 30 minuten. Dit kan uw laatste stop op de tour zijn, als u langer wilt blijven of voetgangersgebied wilt verkennen na de tour, locatie is handig voor het.

We found our Tuk Tuk right outside our ship, though we didn’t quite see him right away. We traveled easily through the streets of Sibenik to each of the 3 fortresses. You have about 10 minutes to explore two fortresses, Barone and St. John’s and then a guided tour of St. Michael’s. You stop at a lovely restaurant for your snack and wine. It is plentiful and delicious. Our dirive, Vice, was professional and knowledgeable. We then ended the tour at St. James Cathedral where you have some free time. We were taken back to our ship at the end of our tour.
It was exvellent, our guide Luka was fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any of our questions. He was chilled laid back and nothing was too much trouble. The sights were beautiful and the wine tasting was unexpectedly amazing, such nice people, great wine and food, with no harsh after sale. I highly recommend this trip, it was worth every penny 😀

Excellent and unique way to experience Sibenik with the Tuk Tuk tour. Great communication with the tour operator in advance and the tour guide, Francesco, on the day of regarding pick up at our ship's tender port. Francesco's knowledge of the Fortresses and the city itself was impressive and concise. We were given time on our own at each Fortress to explore. The highlight of our tour was the stop at Restaurant & Caffebar sv Lovre, a restored monastery for a wine tasting with charcuterie board. Family run, son Tony provided the history of the venue as well as wine highlights. Highly recommend this tour for a unique way to experience Sibenik.

This was great! Our guide was outstanding and knowledgeable, our ship could not get to port due high winds and he came to meet us where we had to tender ashore. They entire afternoon was fantastic and we highly recommend.

Had a great tour with Luca. The electric tuk tuk charged up hills and was a fun open air ride. Luca is a certified guide and had extensive knowledge of history of the town over the centuries. It would be impossible for most people to hike up to the two top fortresses, but nothing in the tuk tuk and the views were outstanding. After seeing the three fortresses it was off to the winery. Great food treats and very nice wines. We bought a bottle of course. Highly recommend the tuk tuk tour!

Luka was an amazing tour guide, extremely knowledgeable on the local area. I would highly recommend this tour over the cruise tours, the tour company picked us up at the cruise ship drop off (Port Luka) and started our tour; I bet even the locals could learn something new from Luka our guide. Fun and exciting way to see many sights in a short time!

Our tour guide, Luka, was friendly and knowledgeable. He met us at our location in the tuk tuk. We were the only people on the tour. Luka provided interesting information as we drove by various sites. We had somewhat of a hard time hearing him and we were sitting right behind him. I can’t imagine that if there were others sitting behind us in the tuk tuk that they would be able to hear a thing. We visited two fortresses - given time to walk through each without the guide. And then to the Winery Rak, which was fabulous. We tasted three very good wines and were given a very generous amount of breads, cheeses, olive oil, and prosciutto - all delicious but we couldn’t finish it. The owner was very gracious and provided interesting information about the wines, process, olive oil, etc. The wines were very good and we bought a white and a red. By this time, St Michael’s Fortress had closed (17:00), so Luka gave us our tickets to go the next day, which we did. We didn’t get to go in the Cathedral either, which I thought was included in the price. All in all, this is a great tour and an easy and fun way to get to each fortress. And the wine tasting really made it!
