Mis de kans niet om het Palatijngebied te bezoeken tijdens een 2,5 uur durende tour met een deskundige doctoraatsarcheoloog. Het bezoek omvat ook het Palatijnmuseum. Ontmoet uw deskundige, Engelssprekende gids bij de ingang en ga rechtstreeks naar het Palatijnmuseum. Hier zie je artefacten en grote sculpturen die zijn opgegraven op de archeologische vindplaats. Vanaf hier ga je naar de twee prachtige House of Livia en House of Augustus. Afhankelijk van uw interesses kunnen archeologen andere prachtige delen van het archeologische gebied combineren, zoals de ruïnes van het keizerlijk paleis en meer.

Het bezoek begint met het beklimmen van de Palatijn en het ontdekken van de schoonheid van de ruïnes van het keizerpaleis.
Vervolgens bezoekt u het Palatijnse museum op de Palatijn en bewondert u de artefacten die zijn opgegraven uit deze ongelooflijke archeologische vindplaats. Wandel rond en verken de exposities die dateren uit het oude Rome, toen de Palatijn het centrum van de stad was en de thuisbasis van de keizers van Rome. Op de begane grond ziet u een aantal reeds bestaande structuren van de adellijke huizen en op de eerste verdieping kunt u de schilderijen, mozaïeken en werken uit de tijd van Augustus niet missen.

Bruno was awesome!!! Excellent communication, very informative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable!! He met us on time and even texted ahead of time.
Julia was great and made the experience very enriching and totally worth it. We had an amazing time and it was everything we were hoping for.

We took amazing photos of the historical ruins. Going into Augustus’s house and inside the Senate house were the highlights. The views from the terraces were great.

Our guide was fantastic. He took his time and gave us lots of extra information. He worked to make sure that we understood the history of the roman empire and the archeological site. Our guide, Donato, led my wife and I on a fabulous three hour tour of the Palatine Hill, including an overview of the Roman Forum. Donato provided great detail on the archeological and historical elements of the imperial palaces and was extremely receptive to our questions. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a deep interest in this period of history.
Bruno was a wonderful guide. He had a lot of fun facts to share about everything from plants to mythology and Roman emperors. He also had an iPad with him and showed relevant pictures and reconstructions of buildings along the way. He was engaging and asked us about how things worked in our country to make comparisons. All in all it was a lovely tour and worth the extra money.
