Over de parfumrivier die midden in de stad Hue ligt ligt de Truong Tien brug, een ontwerp van architect Gustave Eiffel, die de beroemde Eiffeltoren in Parijs ontwierp. Gebouwd in 1897 (het negende jaar van Thanh Thai dynastie) met gotische architectuur, De brug heeft een lengte van 402,6 m, een breedte van 6 meter, inclusief 6 overspanningen van stalen ligger in de vorm van een kam, elke overspanning is 67 meter lang. De Truong Tien Bridge is getuige van vele op en neer van de oude hoofdstad en is een populaire historische site van de stad Hue Hoewel de brug in verschillende periodes van de geschiedenis verschillende namen had, is de naam Truong Tien Bridge (die omdat de brug in de buurt van de muntvormende bouwplaats lag, aangeduid als Truong Tien van de Nguyen-dynastie en Truong Tien Street gesticht door keizer Thanh Thai in 1899) nog steeds de meest bekende naam voor alle mensen. We halen op bij Hotel center, als de gasten ver in het centrum blijven, kunnen ze een taxi nemen naar het ophaalpunt. We serveren deze tour niet op 7 dagen voor en 7 dagen na maannieuwjaar. I don’t think you could have a more authentic street food experience than this! Fi skilfully maneuvered us through the alleys and night market of Hue to 5 stops that we would never have been able to figure out how to order from by ourselves. If you would rather try sitting on the tiny stools right on the street with scooters rushing by than eating in a touristy restaurant, do this! The food was all delicious (very large quantities, so be prepared) - various noodle dishes and spring rolls, which we had tried before but never tire of, and some novel items like mussel rice, fried pancakes with shrimp and pork, and a sweet dessert soup with mung bean and taro. Walking around the city after dark and crossing two of the bridges over the river was also really fun. Fi was kind and attentive and we thank her for a great experience.

Our wonderful guide, Nhi, communicated with us before the tour to confirm the meeting time and place. We set off right on time and thoroughly enjoyed this food odyssey. We sampled many delicious local dishes which Nhi described to us, not just ingredients but also the local significance, history and pronunciation. The tour had a good balance of food and walking so you didn’t fill up too quickly, and we got to see more of this beautiful city at night. We booked this last minute so we’re very happy we were able to do this tour and so happy to spend a few hours with Nhi!

I had a wonderful time with Ruby! She is a very friendly person and is very knowledgeable about the local food in Hue. I have spent many months in Vietnam but I still learned so many new things. Not only Hue specialty dishes but also how they prepare famous dishes differently and the history behind them. I would totally recommend this experience to any foodies who arrive in Hue and are looking to eat where the locals eat, the food is sublime and the information very interesting!

Ruby was an incredible tour guide! She took us to five separate places to experience the amazing food Hue has to offer. While we ate, Ruby taught us about some Vietnamese history and culture. She was an incredibly considerate host, giving us time to finish our food and taking us on longer walks in between food stops so that we could try to get some more space in our stomachs for more food! I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone who is looking to learn and enjoy the traditional foods of Hue. Thanks so much

Ruby was AMAZING!!! She brought us around to 5 different places and provided excellent information about the foods. There wasn’t too much walking between places but enough to allow you to process some of the food and eat more. We got to try some of the royal delicacies that Hue has to offer! Highly recommend!!!

We were picked up on time for the food tour through Hue. Ruby is a great guide with really good English and extensive knowledge. She took us to 5 different locations. she ordered and explained the dishes and a lot of the background information. It was an incredibly great experience in Hue.
