Ten zuidoosten van de Citadel, aan beide oevers van de Perfume River, liggen zeven koninklijke tombes. Monumenten voor de heersers van de Nguyen-dynastie, inclusief Khai Dinh en het graf van Minh Mang, de graven zijn allemaal zeker een bezoek waard. Elke kamer is gebouwd in de traditionele Vietnamese stijl van geomantie, en heeft zelfs het omliggende landschap aangepast om te zorgen voor rechte lijnen, een bepaalde directionele oriëntatie en andere elementen die zijn ontworpen om te voldoen aan bovennatuurlijke krachten ... 13: 00-13: 20 uur ophalen bij hotel in het centrum van Hue om een halve dag deel te nemen aan de rondleiding om twee beroemde koninklijke tombe van Khai Dinh en Minh Mang te ontdekken. Aan het einde van de dag een snelle stop om Conical-hoed en insencemakend dorp te bezoeken voordat je terugkeert naar het stadscentrum.

Deze tombe (voltooid in 1867) is de meest populaire, imposante en indrukwekkende van de koninklijke mausolea, ontworpen door keizer Tu Duc zelf voor zijn dood. De enorme kosten van het graf en de dwangarbeid die bij de constructie werd gebruikt, leidden tot een staatsgreep die werd ontdekt en onderdrukt. Tu Duc leefde een leven van keizerlijke luxe en vleselijke overdaad, met 104 vrouwen en talloze concubines (hoewel geen nakomelingen)...
Deze plaats is niet alleen een beroemd traditioneel ambachtsdorp van de oude hoofdstad met een reeks "bloeiende" wierookfaciliteiten in groen, rood, paars, geel ... maar ook een indrukwekkende toeristische bestemming in Hue in de ogen van toeristen die van de lokale cultuur houden

Very interesting tour with enthousiastic guide and good driver, tombs and environment a must see, and the lunch at locals too
Despite the torrential rain, we had a great tour and a wonderful, knowledgeable and articulate guide, Tan. The tombs are amazing! We saw the tomb of Khai Dinh and Tu Doc. Both are amazing but the Khai Dinh one is a must see. The mosaic work throughout is stunning! The stone mandarins that guard both tombs are incredible! Really a must-see for both of them.
Our guide took us to the two tombs that are included and explained everything related. He was friendly anf helpful.
Brilliant tour, the sights are stunning and having a guide makes such a difference as you can learn so much and can ask questions. Xi our guide was truly fantastic, so knowledgeable and really friendly. She also went totally above and beyond recommending restaurants when we asked and advising us on options for the motorbike tour we were looking into. Absolutely brilliant, highly recommend.
We had two wonderful days with Ms Fi and enjoyed every moment of the tours. We visited three of the royal tombs on the first days and the citadel and two pagodas on the second. Ms Fi is a very knowledgeable and caring tour guide that will be able to answer all your questions and provide great recommendations for local food or crafts. Ask for her if you are booking this tour and you will not regret it.
We were guided by Ms Fi who made the trip a great experience with her knowledge and assistance. She collected us from our accommodation and took us to the dragon boat for our journey. We visited a Pagoda, the Minh Mang tomb and Hon Chen temple and Fi was the perfect guide. Highly recommended.

I booked this tour as a 4 tomb tour cancelled because of Tet and I struggled to find just a tomb tour as I took the Citadel/Pagoda city tour day before. Didn’t want to take the “just driver” option because wanted to hear more about the tombs. I should have because the tour I received wasn’t interesting or informative. It began when I received an email notification saying I’d be picked up between 1-1:30. Then I received a Whatsapp text saying they were picking me up in less than 10 minutes at 12:20. I was eating lunch, getting ready. Also was told by text, wasn’t at the hotel where I told them I was. Yes I am. Driver had already been there and told I wasn’t there! He gave front desk clerk incorrect name. Upon getting to the van, was waved to back seat as told other people occupied all seats but wasn’t true since a solo traveller sat in the middle and I changed seat on next stop rather than be crammed into back seat with two others. I found the guide gave minimal information about the sites or sad verbatim what signs said. The tour the day before with another company was so much better, start to finish.
