Huayhuash 8-daagse trektocht

The 6-day Huayhuash trek itself was great, and our guide lovely. But the agency showed serious dishonestly by glossing over the fact that they expected me to pay my way back to Huaraz from the village we stayed at on day 5 of the trek. This put me in a serious bind. I was completely out of money after the trek. I called the agency and they told me they’d specifically said I’d have to pay for all of this - and that they even provided me with a breakdown of the costs involved. I would obviously remember something that important. The other two people I shared a car from Huaylapa to Pativilca (from which you take a colectivo to Huaraz) were also cheated that way by their agencies. It seems to be a common way to cheat tourists. Shame on Andean Summit for lacking the perspective to see that cheating clients like that will cost their reputation in the long term and is dishonorable.
