Deze halve dag Khao Lak hoogtepunten tour combineert lokale geschiedenis, cultuur, natuurbehoud, natuur en verantwoorde olifantenobservatie in één gemakkelijke ervaring. Bezoek het International Tsunami Museum en Navy Ship 813 om meer te weten te komen over de tsunami van 2004 en het herstel van Khao Lak. Ga verder naar de Lak Kaen-tempel voor een vreedzame culturele stop en bezoek vervolgens het Sea Turtle Conservation Center om meer te weten te komen over de lokale inspanningen om jonge en gewonde schildpadden te verzorgen. De tour omvat ook een bezoek aan Khaolak Elephant Sanctuary, waar gasten meer kunnen leren over geredde olifanten en hun natuurlijke gedrag kunnen observeren in een respectvolle, op dierenwelzijn gerichte omgeving. Er is geen olifant rijden, geen shows, geen trucs, geen gedwongen baden, en geen activiteiten die de olifanten verstoren. Eindig met een korte stop bij Sai Rung Waterval om foto's te maken en te genieten van de natuurlijke omgeving voordat u geniet van een Thaise lunch tijdens de tour.

Pick-up is beschikbaar bij geselecteerde hotels en locaties in het Khao Lak gebied. Geef uw hotelnaam of ophaallocatie door tijdens het boekingsproces. Excellent mixture of wonderful experiences. The Elephant sanctuary, tsunami memorial and turtle program were especially good. Our guides were knowledgeable and seemed genuinely excited about their subjects. Definitely bring a hat and dress to be comfortable but also protect yourself from the heat and sun.

Absolutely fantastic tour our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a real insight into the local culture and the Tsunami from personal perspective. Elephant sanctuary was great a chance to see them close up but without the tourist gimmicks that stress them. The turle conservation centre was fascinating. Overall would absolutely recommend.

Everything was fine. Just right. Not too little and not too much of anything. Bring water and mosquito spray, can be beneficial when visiting the parts with the elephants and the waterfall which may not really be a waterfall as it is affected by how much it has rained before.

There was a bit of confusion about the pick up time. It says to meet 10 minutes before so we thought we had to meet at 10 to 10 but the activity started at 10 our pick up was at 9:15 but no one told us that that’s the only thing I can say that was negative about the whole trip. was a lovely morning out from start to finish and the food was absolutely gorgeous and the turtles were really cute, especially the baby ones.

Excellent half day trip. Ended up being a little longer as we waited for other people to join at the elephant sanctuary- which was great as we got to see more of the elephants feeding, walking round and bathing. Food was excellent and our guide was brilliant. I had the impression that we would be able to cool off in the waterfall but it is not suitable for bathing. Travel was in an open back truck with h side seats and not a minivan/car.
