Een ervaren gids met een nationale licentie die zojuist onlangs 6-uur durende privérondleidingen door Hiroshima op Viator heeft gelanceerd. Dit is een privétour van 6 uur, verzorgd door een door de overheid erkende gids. Zeer flexibel en aanpasbaar op basis van uw behoeften. Je kunt rondlopen in het Peace Memorial Park en Shukkeien Garden in Hiroshima, inclusief de atoomkoepelbom, verschillende monumenten/standbeelden, het Peace Memorial Museum. Memorable. Every one should see it to know the horrors that took place. Guide was a second generation survivor of the bombing. Brought up similar feelings of my visit to the Holocaust museum in DC. Very informative and hope you get Ms. Okura as your guide.

Takeshi met us on-time at the exit gates for the Shinkansen and was super helpful in quickly finding a place to store our bags before we departed to begin our tour. We took the street car to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Park and Museum (including the Children’s Peace Monument) where he shared thoughtful personal insight and background that amplified the impact. Takeshi has spent his career focused on helping Hiroshima survivors before taking a new career as a tour guide. His family’s personal connection, including his mother and grandparents as survivors, added depth to the experience. We had okonomiyaki for lunch across the street from the prefecture office where he used to work. It was delicious and can be tailored to your taste. We then walked by the hypocenter (directly below where the blast occurred) next to the hospital, rebuilt in the same place, on the way to Hiroshima Castle where we also saw a Chrysanthemum exhibit and food festival that happened to be scheduled that weekend. We saw a K-Pop group performing and the castle tower before returning to the station to pick up our luggage. Takeshi provided great directions for us to get to our hotel on Miyajima taking a local train and ferry.

We had such a great time on this tour! Minami was such a great tour guide. She really knew a lot about the history of Hiroshima and she was very patient with us. She was very helpful and kind to explain and ask questions. The shrine of Miya Jima Island was a very cool experience and the Island itself was very beautiful. The museum was breathtakingly sad but quite informative. Minami even led us to a place and taught us how they make Okinamoyaki! It was delicious!!! I would definitely give her 100% 2 Thumbs up! Naoko Koh's tour of Hiroshima was absolutely incredible! She was extremely kind and her English was great! We could immediately feel her passion for Hiroshima and the importance of what happened there. She wasn’t just a tour guide because she genuinely cares about what took place.
