De hoogste Boeddha in de stad Da Nang met uitzicht op de stad met panoramisch uitzicht. Er is een complex van tempels in de gebieden met een prachtig ontwerp. Het complex ligt op het schiereiland Son Tra, dat erg beroemd is in de oorlog in Vietnam.
We bezoeken de grot van Marble Mountain, waar het Vietnamese leger tijdens de oorlog in Vietnam als ziekenhuis werd gebruikt. En we bezoeken ook de Da Nang Salty militaire basis en begraafplaats waar bom 45 studenten op de basisschool doodde.
De meest iconische brug met een lengte van 666 meter over de Han-rivier met vuur- en watershow om 21.00 uur op vrijdag en weekend.
Langs de brug staat de Romeinse brug met lantaarnverlichting. De brug wordt volledig afgesloten door koppels die hun naam verzinnen om op slot te doen voor hun liefde. Maak geweldige foto's vanaf de brug naar de stad die alle bezoekers graag maken.
De lokale naam van de kerk is ''Kippenkerk'' omdat de haan bovenop de kerk zit en de wind volgt. Het ontwerp in gotische stijl werd in 1923 door de Franse priester gebouwd als de oudste kerk in de stad Da Nang tijdens de koloniale periodes.
Het grootste kokosnootbos in centraal Vietnam, beroemd tijdens de oorlog in Vietnam door Vietcong verborgen onder het kokosnootbos tot gevechten met Amerikaanse militaire helikopters. Tegenwoordig is het bos aantrekkelijk voor bezoekers met mandboottochten en visactiviteiten. Je maakt een boottocht met onze lokale vissers om het bos te verkennen.
De beroemde zeehaven in Azië in de 16e en 17e eeuw met oude huizen, tempels, pagodes... gebouwd door Japanners en Chinezen toen ze voor zaken leefden. Tegenwoordig is de stad aantrekkelijk en charmant met lantaarnstraten, bootlantaarns, volksliederen, straatvoedsel...

We recently spent a wonderful morning with Hung Le Travel exploring parts of Da Nang that we never would have seen otherwise. We began the morning with a visit to a rice wine distillery that has been owned by the same family for generations. The owner was so warm and welcoming; we were able to go into the distillery area and see how the rice was processed and how fermentation occurs, and we tasted rice wine at various points in the distillation process – which was fascinating. We tasted six different flavors of rice wine, all while we talked with our guide, Home, about the history and origins of rice wine production in Da Nang. It was absolutely fascinating, and was a reflection not just of rice wine, but of the history and culture of Vietnam. Then we moved on to Ban Co Peak, where we drove through the beautiful mountains and were able to see the American radar installation on top overlooking the South China Sea. We talked about the Vietnam War, and learned things about the War that we’d never known. The views of Da Nang and the South China Sea were absolutely gorgeous, as were the paragliders we watched take off from the mountain and soar over the sea. All was quiet and serene, with almost no other tourists, which made it really special. From there, we moved on to the Lady Buddha, where we had a detailed tour, not just of the Lady Buddha statue itself, but also of the entire temple grounds, with beautiful gardens and statuary collections. While the area in front of the Lady Buddha statue itself was very crowded, we walked into other areas where we were the only visitors. Throughout our tour, Home talked about the practice of Buddhism in Vietnam and explained what each statue represented – details we never would have been able to learn on our own. This was our second tour with Home and Hung Le Travel this week – I would highly recommend this awesome group to anyone who wants to do something really special in Da Nang!

My family wanted to see the best of Da Nang and Hoi An in the ~10 hours we had in Vietnam. Home, our guide for the day, had a full itinerary for us to make this happen. Despite this, he let us take our time seeing and exploring all the sites at our own pace. He was very attentive to what and where we wanted to spend more time at and would adjust our itinerary based on this. We did not feel rushed at all, and Home was really great at explaining to us the history and background of the places we saw. In the short time we had, we got to visit APEC park, Lady Buddha, the pottery village, get on a coconut boat, and all that. Our driver, Cuong Tran, was also very prompt. He was at our pick up right on the dot as agreed. Same with drop off. Overall, amazing service.
