LET OP : Deze tour gaat niet meer samen met cruiseschepen die aanmeren in de haven van Tauranga. Alle andere dagen zullen normaal verlopen. Stap in de magische wereld van Midden-aarde op deze onvergetelijke reis van de Bay of Plenty naar de wereldberoemde Hobbiton Movie Set, gecombineerd met schilderachtige uitzichten op de kust, inheemse boswandelingen en prachtige landschappen.

Stap in de magische wereld van Midden-aarde op deze onvergetelijke reis van de Bay of Plenty naar de wereldberoemde Hobbiton Movie Set, gecombineerd met schilderachtige uitzichten op de kust, inheemse boswandelingen en prachtige landschappen. Vanaf Mount Maunganui begint de tour met een schilderachtige rit langs het iconische Mauao en een stop bij het prachtige Mount Main Beach, beroemd om zijn gouden zand, glooiende branding en spectaculaire kustlandschap.
De kustlijn achter ons gelaten, reizen we door Tauranga City en het rustige platteland in richting McLaren Falls Park, een van de verborgen natuurlijke pareltjes van de Bay of Plenty. Hier kunnen gasten genieten van een zachte wandeling langs de Glow Worm Track door inheemse bush en langs de rustige rand van het meer, met mogelijkheden om gloedwormen te spotten verborgen in de schaduwrijke bosgebieden. Vervolgens stoppen we bij het belangrijkste uitzichtpunt van McLaren Falls om de prachtige waterval en het omliggende meerlandschap te bewonderen voordat we verder landinwaarts gaan over de spectaculaire Kaimai Ranges. Aangekomen bij de beroemde Hobbiton Movie Set, nemen gasten deel aan de officiële rondleiding door de betoverende filmset die is gemaakt voor The Lord of the Rings en The Hobbit trilogieën. Dwaal door de weelderige groene heuvels van de Gouw, verken de charmante Hobbit-gaten, bezoek beroemde filmlocaties en hoor achter de schermen verhalen van het maken van de films. We had such a great time on our hobbiton trip. Russell was very friendly and knowledgeable and made our trip very enjoyable. We would definitely go on another trip with Wicked Wanders if we had the time.

What a brilliant day out! Honestly, such a smooth experience from start to finish. Finding the meeting point was super easy and we actually left right on time, which is always a plus. Our guide, Russell, was awesome—really knowledgeable and helpful the whole way. I loved getting a bit of history about Mount Maunganui and the quick stop at McLaren Falls before we arrived at the farm. Once we hit the Hobbiton set, I completely lost track of time; I couldn’t believe we’d been walking around for two hours by the time we finished! If you're looking for a stress-free way to see the Movie Set, I'd definitely recommend booking with these guys.

Hobbiton is a must do experience for anyone traveling to New Zealand, whether or not you’re familiar with hobbits. Russel, our tour guide with Wicked Wanderers Tours, was excellent. Awesome experience and our tour driver was fantastic!!! It gave up a view of New Zealand outside the city. Stopped on the way back at McLaren Falls which was beautiful all on its own.
