07 : 30 – 08 : 30 : Onze vriendelijke gids haalt u op bij uw hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Daarna vertrekken we naar de provincie Ninh Binh in een comfortabele Limousine. 09 : 15 : Neem een korte pauze (15–20 minuten) om uit te rusten en je benen te strekken voordat je de reis voortzet.
10 : 30 : Bezoek Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, de eerste hoofdstad van Vietnam van 968 tot 1010. Verken de historische tempels van de Dinh- en Le-koningen en leer over de feodale geschiedenis van Vietnam tijdens de Dinh-, Le- en vroege Ly-dynastieën.
Rond 11.15 uur kom je aan in Tam Coc, een rustige omgeving omringd door prachtige kalksteenkarsten. Geniet om 11.45 uur van een heerlijk lunchbuffet in een lokaal restaurant, met een grote verscheidenheid aan Vietnamese gerechten zoals geitenvlees, vis, kip en meer — met vegetarische opties die altijd beschikbaar zijn. Om 13.00 uur begint u aan een 1,5 uur durende bamboeboottocht langs de Ngo Dong-rivier, langs weelderige rijstvelden, torenhoge kalkstenen bergen en een indrukwekkend grottenstelsel. Het adembenemende landschap heeft Tam Coc de bijnaam "Halong Bay on Land" opgeleverd. I booked this program go with family, The tour guide show us around with care and professional management, highly recommend this tour.
Not the best one. The bus travel was long, waiting 30min for late persons, with too long stop for shopping on the road. The bike ride was not the expected one, a joke. A 1km bike ride from bus parking to the temple… Finally after the boat ride (which is wonderful) we were supposed to have time in the village but at 2.45pm we left to Hanoi… for again a shopping stop on the road! However the visits were as expected and guide was OK and funny. So O do not recommend this excursion.

Absolutely stunning retreat in the heart of Tam Coc, Ninh Binh. We stayed in a bungalow with private garden area and it was beautiful. Very spacious, clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need. The retreat grounds are stunning, food/drinks in the restaurant so tasty and all the staff so friendly and attentive, especially Linh who did so much to help us. Thank you for an amazing stay, we would definitely come back again.
I had the best day exploring Ninh Binh, packed with incredible sights and activities. We started by marching up the steps of Lying Dragon Mountain, where the effort was rewarded with stunning panoramic views. Biking through the picturesque countryside allowed us to soak in the natural beauty up close. The peaceful boat ride through limestone tunnels was a serene experience, showcasing the unique landscape. The day was perfectly planned, with plenty of beautiful sceneries and great photo opportunities. To top it off, we enjoyed a delicious 8-course meal that was the perfect end to an amazing adventure. This trip was truly unforgettable and offered something for everyone.
