Glebe is een pittoreske buitenwijk in de binnenstad met een rijke mix van magnifieke Edwardiaanse herenhuizen en imposante Victoriaanse herenhuizen. De buitenwijk is ontstaan uit een veelheid aan industrie vermengd met de frivole activiteiten van enkele van de ultrarijken van Sydney. Deze mix van sociale geschiedenis in de buitenwijken maakt het uniek in Sydney's Development. Deze tour is elk weekend op zaterdagochtend beschikbaar.

St Johns Anglicaanse Kerk Dit enorme neogotische gebouw domineert het straatbeeld van Glebe. Met een torenhoge torenspits en een prachtig terrein heeft het een buitengewoon interessante geschiedenis.
Glebe Presbyterian Church is een dominerend zandstenen gebouw dat een behoorlijk interessant nomadisch leven heeft geleid.
Katholieke Sint-Jacobskerk Deze magnifieke kerk bevindt zich in een zeer rijk complex met verschillende architecturale erfgoedstijlen. Het toont gedetailleerde glas-in-loodramen en een intrigerend achtergrondverhaal.
Bidura-huis Dit is een prachtige herenwoning uit 1860 met een veelbewogen verleden. van het leven als een vooraanstaand herenhuis tot een enorm detentiecentrum voor kinderen, het is een intrigerend gebouw.
Hartford House is een uitgebreid herenhuis en een voorbeeld van een van de meest prestigieuze huizen van Glebe.
Het voormalige Toxteth Park House Dit is het meest indrukwekkende huis in Glebe. Toxteth Park House is een voormalig herenhuis van een van de rijkste families in Sydney.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Glebe walk. This was my walking 2nd tour with Ned. As a Sydney sider it's a great way to learn about our city.
This is the 2nd tour I've done with this guide. Once again he was excellent - friendly and informative. It's interesting to learn about all the history hidden within a suburb
My friends and I totally enjoyed The Historical Guided Walking Tour of Glebe led by the talented Ned. This is the second time in two years I have done this tour and it is still extremely enlightening and enjoyable. Glebe is a beautiful part of Sydney’s heritage and Ned’s passion and historical knowledge kept us entertained all morning. His ability to interweave the facts with humorous social tidbits from Glebe’s past ensured a great start to our weekend. I cannot recommend this tour enough! Book today!

Excellent walking tour of Glebe _ fascinating insights into its heritage- Ned really brought it all to life. From the wealthy to the working class and all the weird stuff that went on. Thoroughly recommend.
Despite the rainy weather, we had a great time learning about Glebe. Ned certinly knows his Glebe! The tour of the area was filled with history and Ned was very engaging. We didn't realise how little we knew about such an historical and colourful area. A must do tour if you are interested in Glebe
Ned’s exciting and informative tour of Glebe was a really great experience. My jaw dropped at some of the interesting facts right at my door step. I can’t wait to share some of what I learned with friends when they visit. The walking was nicely paced with frequent stops. Ned allowed me to bring my small dog (I did ask in advance) which was a treat for him too!
Great local tour guide Ned who appreciates the history and development of his own backyard and it’s fantastic to get a local perspective of the inner city suburb of Glebe and Ned is great at explaining the local people from the past and their contributions to Sydney’s development as a city .. highly recommend this tour
