Deze kleurrijke structuur met zijn prachtige kenmerken van kunst werd gebouwd en ontworpen op basis van een mengsel van culturen van Arabische, Europese en een Afrikaanse Touch. Gebouwd op Old Kampala Hill dat is een van Kampala City's Seven Hills. IT kan ook worden bekeken vanuit alle hoeken van Kampala en men kan IT niet gaan zonder een glimp van het. De Moskee staat open voor alle mensen, ongeacht hun geloofsovertuigingen, politieke voorkeuren, etnische achtergronden, culturen en nationaliteiten. Bij binnenkomst in de grote zaal van de moskee zult u genieten van de architectonische ontwerpen. Het beklimmen van de Toren / Minaret geeft je het beste uitzicht over Kampala City op 360 graden met zijn originele omliggende Seven Hills. De moskee staat ook op de oorspronkelijke plek waar Britten voor het eerst hun vlag hijsten die Oeganda betekende als Britse kolonie
In het hart van Buganda’s culturele en politieke leven staat de Lubiri—het Kabaka’s Paleis. Lubiri is meer dan een koninklijke residentie en een symbool van eenheid, traditie en soevereiniteit. Zijn oorsprong is niet alleen verbonden met Buganda’s politieke evolutie, maar ook met zijn spirituele en geografische landschap. Daarom wordt u verwelkomd in een traditionele of culturele stijl als koninklijke viator en krijgt u een speciale Gids om u te leiden in het verkennen van het paleis om de autoresten van koning Edward Mutesa I, het kanongeweer en de beroemde martelkamers van Idi Amin Dada te zien. Verwacht op dit punt een gediversifieerde geschiedenis van Oeganda te hebben, variërend van politieke, culturele, economische, sociale en religieuze aspecten
Gelegen op Kasubi Hill in Kampala, Oeganda, ligt een van de meest vereerde en spiritueel krachtige locaties in het Koninkrijk Buganda – de Kasubi Tombes. Voor het ongeoefende oog lijkt IT een rustige, rietgedekte behuizing met een indrukwekkende ronde hut in het midden. Maar voor het Baganda volk en cultuurhistorici is IT de laatste rustplaats van de prominente koningen van Buganda. De site dient zowel als begraafplaats voor vier Kabaka’s (koningen) als een spirituele hub waar verleden en heden samenkomen. IT is hier dat Baganda-onderdanen komen om zegeningen te zoeken, rituelen uit te voeren en na te denken over hun afkomst. Daarom krijg je een rondleiding aangeboden door deze koninklijke graven en heiligdom om het echte culturele gevoel en de praktijken van Buganda koninkrijk te ervaren. Als een manier om de politieke en sociale reis van Oeganda te volgen, wordt u naar het onafhankelijkheidsmonument geleid waar onze Gids u de interpretatie van het monument zal uitleggen die zo interessant is en de stadia laat zien die Oeganda heeft doorgemaakt (voor, tijdens en na de koloniale heerschappijperiode). Je krijgt de kans om foto's en video's te maken
Dit is een hele verkoopmarkt met een diversiteit aan producten. Men zou gelijk kunnen hebben om IT “pittige markt” te noemen vanwege het feit dat IT verschillende kruiden heeft, zowel lokale als geïmporteerde. Lokaal eten, groenten en fruit zijn er ook in overvloed. U wordt daarom doorgenomen terwijl u foto's maakt en communiceert met de leveranciers
Owino markt is een andere georganiseerde chaos in Kampala waar je een verscheidenheid aan tweedehands goederen kunt zien, vooral kleding, schoenen en nog veel meer verkocht tegen een zeer betaalbare prijs, waardoor IT voor de lokale bevolking gemakkelijk is om items van hieruit te kopen. Je krijgt de kans om foto's en video's te maken die zeker opmerkelijke herinneringen zullen plaatsen
Net als elke andere hoofdstad bestaat Kampala uit een enorm belastingpark met duizenden taxi's die mensen en hun goederen in en uit de stad vervoeren. Dit park is strategisch gelegen in het centrum van de bedrijfsgebouwen waardoor IT vanuit alle hoeken zeer toegankelijk is
Kisenyi sloppenwijk is een lage klasse voorstad herbergt een gemengde cultuur van mensen uit verschillende landen met name vluchtelingen uit Somalië, DRC, Zuid-Soedan en Literia. IT is ook een zone waar zwaar werk zoals metaalrecycling wordt gedaan, dus IT zal u een zeer goede ervaring bieden. U kunt foto's en video's maken na het vragen via uw Gids.

Words can’t describe how amazing this tour was. I was so pleased to learn about Uganda and its history. My tour started exactly on time and ended right on time too. Excellent tour for those who want to learn more about the history of the Baganda kingdom and the development of the nation of Uganda. The guides provided at the Kings Palace and the Kasubi Tombs were exceptional. Abdul did a good job getting from place to place and filling in gaps in our understanding.

On or about March 21 after a 2 month tour of East Africa I must admit this personalized tour by Mr Muyomba Augustine was the highlight. Inspite of brutal/evil Colonialism, the Buganda Kingdam kept their culture in tact; and a remarkable culture it is as so eloquently expressed! As an American born African from Birmingham Alabamas Historic middle class Dynamite Hill of Smithfield, I appreciate history because it was Citizens in my City and State that forced my Country (USA) to treat everyone w/ dignity as humans. It was a bloody battle for my Ancestors from 1815 to now. I owned Dynamite Hill Tours pre COVID and it was the best and most sought after period until funding was cut in 2016. This Buganda tour is far superior and should be seen by all who visit East Africa and Kampala Uganda_ Kamau Afrika

I had a really great experience on this historical tour of Kampala and would definitely recommend it! My guide, Nasser, was fantastic—very friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took me to several key historical and cultural sites around the city, including the I ❤️ Kampala sign, Kasubi Tombs, the Kabaka’s Palace, and the Gaddafi National Mosque. Each stop was meaningful, and I learned so much about the history and culture of Kampala throughout the day. What I really appreciated was how smoothly everything was organized. We were able to cover so many important locations in just one day without feeling rushed, and Nasser made the experience engaging and informative the entire time. The only downside is that entrance fees to the sites were not included, so I had to pay for those separately. It’s something to keep in mind when booking. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and insightful experience. Nasser is a great guide, and I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Kampala’s history in a meaningful way.

Really enjoyed the tour. Nasser was a very nice and knowledgeable guide. He took good care of me. Sights were Al very interesting. Would have preferred that the entry fees be included in the tour but it is not a big deal. I recommend the tour.

Thanks so much to the outstanding driver and guide Nasser - who adeptly drove us in and around the Kampala to visit important historic sites of various points in Ugandan history- from the UNESCO world heritage site Kasubi tombs to the Kabaka/King’s (Bugandan) Palace (that also hosts Idi Amin’s torture chambers) to the Gaddafi mosque- beautiful in itself but also the climb up the 270 steps is rewarded with amazing views of Kampala from all sides. Each of the sites also provided guides who were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I came away from each site with a much better understanding of Uganda - and a strong desire to keep exploring. The tour was very exciting and informative. All day long, Nasser and his assistant took us around the city and explained about the life of the people in different area. He also explained how Uganda people took their Independence. We also went to the famous taxi station where tons of taxi in the park. Then we navigated thru the markets with people carried different items in their head in the narrow pathway and of course with tons of people. Wow! What a sight to see especially if you come from more quiet area in your own town. Very dynamic and interesting. We then headed to the palace and the mosque. The building itself includes many story to tell. I guess one just have to be there to listen to the story. Finally we went to the tombs. Save the best for last… I can even feel the spirit surrounding me and all the respect respects for the Kings. The tombs is beautifully constructed. Overall this tour with Nasser and his assistant truly told us about the culture, the life of the people and explained the history of the palace, the mosque and the tombs. The team and the tour deserts a rating of 5. I almost forgot, he also quite funny as well, which brought all of us a good laugh and brought the smile on our faces even on a hot day! Btw
