Op de Theaterplatz van Dresden komt de stad samen om haar stem te laten horen. Gedomineerd door de imposante Semperopera, wordt het plein omsloten door het Koninklijk Paleis, de Kathedraal en de Oude Meestergalerij en door velen beschouwd als een van de mooiste pleinen van Europa.
Dit is het symbool van Dresden, de personificatie van het uit de as opstijgen van Dresden. U zult het verhaal en de tijd leren, zodat we snel een bezoek kunnen brengen.
Het wordt beschouwd als een sculptuur die je kunt ervaren en werd geconceptualiseerd als de ingang van een groot nieuw koninklijk paleis dat nooit werd gebouwd. Het is een herinnering aan de exotische en fantastische feesten die hier 300 jaar geleden werden gehouden.

Het Koninklijk Paleis is een eclectische bewaker van de geschiedenis van de familie die Saksen regeerde en is de thuisbasis van hun verbazingwekkende verzameling schatten. We lopen door een van de binnenplaatsen, maar je kunt later zelf naar binnen gaan en de musea verkennen.
De koninklijke kathedraal van Dresden is een prachtig bouwwerk. De voormalige hofkerk is in het geheim gebouwd door een katholieke heerser in het protestantse Saksen en heeft een aantal ongewone kenmerken en is een van de begraafplaatsen van de koninklijke familie. We zullen het van buitenaf zien en het interessante verhaal leren kennen.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable -- what a wealth of detail he was able to share! You get to see all the essential sites, with many stories to make them come alive. For our group of 13 (US college students + guide) the price was great, and the experience was enjoyed by all.

Our group of 6 people signed up for this tour after completing our cycling tour. We wanted a brief but comprehensive overview of the history of Dresden before departing. We had Sylvia as our tour guide and she was excellent! It really helped that she is also an architect and could explain the buildings in much more detail. We really enjoyed this wonderful private tour!

Excellent private tour of a beautiful city. Guide was very knowledgeable and it was an easy tour as the city is quite flat and accessible for people that may have some mobility issues. Would definitely recommend this tour. Loved that we had the guide to ourselves, which made allowance for some personalised itinerary adjustments.
Claus gave us a fantastic tour of historic Dresden. He was extremely well informed about the history, art and architecture of the city and the specific sites that we visited. He was charming and enjoyable to tour with and he went out of his way to spend extra time on the things that he understood would be of particular interest to us. Dresden is an interesting and pretty city but our guide was not particularly enthusiastic and was just going through the motions. From the beginning he said the tour would be 90 minutes, not the the 2 hours we were expecting. The information given was interesting, but limited, and nothing “extra” like you often get with tours. Also, the guide spoke quite softly so we could just hear in our small group of four( private tour was expensive per person so our expectations were high). We did observe another larger tour the next day with the same guide and ther were many disinterested members at the back as I imaging they could not hear the information. I wouldn’t waste my money on this tour.
