Nadat je je Gids in Athene hebt ontmoet, hoor je verhalen over de oude Grieken en hun leven in Delphi terwijl je reist met een bus met airconditioning zonder CO2-voetafdruk. U bereikt Delphi richting de berg Parnassos en maakt een korte ruststop buiten de stad Levadia. De eerste stop is de archeologische site van Delphi – een UNESCO Werelderfgoed. Wandel met je Gids rond de suggestieve ruïnes, bekijk beroemde monumenten zoals het monument van de Argive-koningen, de schatkamer van de Atheners, het monument van Platea en de tempel van Apollo die beroemd is om zijn orakel. De tweede stop is het Delphi museum, met zijn spectaculaire tentoonstellingen. Bekijk zeker de bronzen Wagenmenner van Delphi en de Sfinx van Naxos. Na het verkennen van Delphi gaat u naar het pittoreske dorpje Arachova, gelegen op de hellingen van de berg Parnassus. Dwaal door de charmante straatjes, geniet van de traditionele stenen architectuur en het prachtige uitzicht, geniet van een ontspannen lunch in een lokale taverna en blader door de heerlijke winkels.

The whole experience, from beginning to end, was worth every penny. This was my first guided tour, and it really showed me the difference that having an expert with genuine knowledge and passion can make. Our guide, Yota, was absolutely flawless. She was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and patient, and went far beyond simply explaining the archaeological sites. Every extra question we asked was answered with genuine enthusiasm and care. Her recommendations about other parts of Greece, local lifestyle, and places to explore made the experience feel much more personal and authentic. Our driver also deserves a special mention. The journey was incredibly smooth, the bus was spotless, and even the windows were perfectly clean — something I especially appreciated as someone who loves taking videos and capturing the scenery. These may sound like tiny details, but those little details matter, and I was genuinely impressed by how thoughtfully everything had been taken care of. The food stops were another pleasant surprise: reasonably priced, good quality, and with friendly service. Most importantly, the day was perfectly paced. It was a full and rewarding day without feeling exhausting. We had enough time to properly explore the archaeological sites, as well as some free time to simply enjoy the surroundings at our own pace. As a budget traveller, I also appreciated being able to book my entrance fee online separately. I came back from the tour feeling completely fulfilled. It was informative, comfortable, beautifully organised, and genuinely enjoyable. 🌿 A Few Extra Tips Bring a few extra bottles to fill with the fresh mountain water — it tastes completely different and feels so pure and alive! 💧 A hat is a must on sunny days. And don’t leave without trying some local honey, olives, and Formaela cheese — especially if you’re a cheese lover! 🧀🍯🫒 And honestly, I just wish I could have stayed longer. The mountains are absolutely beautiful and deserve more time. A huge thank you to Yota, our driver, and the entire team for creating such a memorable experience. If you’re considering this tour, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Five stars without hesitation! 🇬🇷❤️
Journey was seamless. Cafe stop in Levadia was not great. No toilet seats in the ladies toilet and metal bits sticking up. Coffee wasn’t great quality. When at the temple of Apollo Yota was a great guide up the hill and around the museum. Arriving in Arachova my partner and I decided to go do our own thing and went to a restaurant called Karmalis, the staff were lovely and welcoming with the food being fresh and delicious (very generous portions). Would have liked more time to explore as felt a bit rushed. Overall a great experience with Yota talking through the history and mythology all the way to our destination.
