Jesus was a fantastic guide and his historical knowledge and charismatic delivery made the experience. My 10 year old was most excited for this tour of everything we had planned in Seville and it did not disappoint for the kids or for us as adults.
We decided to take this tour as tickets to the cathedral and palace were sold out and we were limited in our time in Seville. After a short drive, we were put together with other English speakers for the tour. There were 8 of us so we could hear the tour guide and ask questions etc. Sergio was our guide and he was excellent. We were incredibly impressed with his knowledge especially of the Monastery of San Isidoro del Campo.
Very good experience, helpful and attentive staff. Wear comfortable shoes (sneakers) and bring water. You walk a bit on uneven terrain.
A great trip, with a chance to see a truly amazing array of mosaics and some of the current archaeological works. The amphitheatre was a real highlight. The only reason for four rather than five stars is due to the rather unfortunate end to the day when the guide dropped a dozen or so of us off at a bus stop rather then accompanying us back to the starting point some 10 minutes walk away through the back streets of Seville. Thankfully, most of us had Google maps on our phones but this was rather unexpected.
really excellent tour of both Italica and the nearby monastery with Jose Luis. It was a large group and I thought he was very effective at keeping everyone engaged and delivering the key historical information. Both sites are breathtaking and for those spending more than a couple days in Sevilla and that are interested in a deeper dive into some of the nearby history, 100% worth a half-day trip.
We had a great experience on the Italica tour. Pia did a wonderful job telling stories to make the ruined city come alive. The additional stop at the Monastery was unexpected and gave more color to the history of the region making me appreciate my time in Sevilla more. We considered going independently to explore the ruins, but our visit was much improved by Pia’s explanations. I typically avoid group tours, but this one exceeded my expectations.
We had a fantastic time. Our guide, Emilio, was excellent. His knowledge and story-telling is second to none. He has so much information about the Roman ruins, we could have spent the whole day there, and still not know everything. 10/10 for his gelato recommendation as well!
Enjoyed the trip and guided tour. Tour guide very informative. Additional stop at a monastery which was a surprise but included with our trip.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you had a great experience with us. It was a pleasure having you, and we look forward to welcoming you back
A beautiful historic site, made even better by the enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Ines. Definitely worth the time and money!
Very well organised trip to the Roman remains of Italica. Everything happened on time and as advertised. Guide Petra was very pleasant and informative. Would have liked a printed map with details of the area. Recommended.
