Beschrijving
Krijg een dosis geschiedenis, cultuur en natuur tijdens deze 6,5 uur durende tour naar Montserrat vanuit Barcelona. Met je gids en een kleine groep van 8 of minder mensen, verken je de basiliek van Montserrat, neem je de St. Joan-kabelbaan met glazen top naar het middelste deel van het Montserrat-gebergte en breng je vervolgens een aangename wandeling van 2 uur door langs authentieke "hermitages" (retraites) waar de eerste bewoners van Montserrat meer dan duizend jaar geleden samenkwamen. De tour eindigt bij het klooster en een rit terug naar het centrum van Barcelona.

We bezoeken Santa Maria de Montserrat, het benedictijnenklooster van de berg, en zien de 'Zwarte Madonna'
We bereiken de bergtop en komen in de kabelbaan van Sant Joan. Als we daar zijn, wandelen we over gemakkelijke paden naar het midden van het natuurpark Montserrat. We zullen echte heiligdommen bezoeken terwijl we leren over de lokale natuur en genieten van adembenemende uitzichten van 360 graden.

If you like to be a little adventurous, this trip is for you. Not only do you get to explore lovely Monserrat, but you get to see some syunning views on the small hike. After exploring the monastery, you take the funicular up and then walk back down. The walk is mostly downhill and doable if you have a basic level of fitness. Jordi, our guide, was very good and looked after us well on a very hot day. He was full of interesting facts and stories and made the day extra special!
Our experience with this tour was unfortunately disrupted by significant organizational issues. Pickup was approximately 30 minutes late, and after we had already been driving for about 20 minutes, the driver was instructed to turn back because two guests had been left behind. At that point, nearly an hour had been lost, and I decided not to continue with the tour. That said, I want to give the company credit for how they handled the situation afterward. They immediately acknowledged the problem, allowed us to leave the tour without difficulty, and processed a full refund the same day. While the operational execution on our tour was disappointing, the customer service response was professional and fair. I hope the company can improve its coordination and logistics, as the willingness to take responsibility when things go wrong is clearly there.
Our guides Juan and Frank took wonderful care of us on our 2+ hour hike. We appreciated the history and nature color they gave to our drive there and walk up and down the mountain. Be advised the hike is rather steep and the way down is rocky with steps that are far apart.

Montserrat was breathtaking!! This tour made it so easy, loved being picked up in the city and being told about some of the history of Barcelona on the drive and also learning about Montserrat We were there on November 7th and although it was a sunny day it was very cold so layer up for sure! Worth being cold for a few hours to see the beautiful landscape Also loved the shops and local market afterwards
Super nice tour with a guide named Gorge (hope I spell it right). No need to be afraid of hiking, because the most of the way is downhill. The tour is for a group of max 8 people, which is just perfect.
Wonderfuk tour! A great way to experience Montserrat and the monastery in a few hours. The hike is 90% downhill so not difficult.
jorge(George) was a delight. He was informative about himself, Barcelona and the Montserrat history. He cared about what he was sharing. He was very patient with the other 4 people who booked at our time. He gave more than 100%. My friend and I enjoyed the time for sure.
