Een uniek hoogtepunt van deze tour is een bezoek aan een basisschool die het atoombombardement heeft overleefd. Via deze zelden bezochte site krijgen gasten een dieper inzicht in hoe de bomaanslag kinderen, gezinnen en lokale gemeenschappen heeft getroffen.
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park ligt in het hart van Hiroshima, vlakbij het epicentrum van de atoombom die op 6 augustus 1945 werd gegooid. Het park werd opgericht om de slachtoffers van het bombardement te herdenken en de vrede te bevorderen.

It was a very pleasant tour. My guide knew exactly where to go and where to get good pictures and had a lot of information to share about each spot. Thanks to that I understood a lot mor significance of the things i saw. We did the tour in japanese so it was very good practise but she also spoke very good english if we ever hit a snag in our communication. Overall a fantastic walking tour.

After such an incredible experience the first time, I just had to join Marin for another tour. We explored the stunning Shukkeien Garden and Hiroshima Castle, and once again, Marin exceeded every expectation. In the serene Shukkeien Garden, she shared fascinating insights into the 'miniature landscapes' with such poise, allowing us to truly soak in the tranquility. At Hiroshima Castle, she brought the samurai history to life with her trademark sharp intellect and vibrant storytelling. Even after another half day, her energy remained infectious. She has this rare gift of making history feel personal and present, never like a dry lecture. Wabi-Sabi! Sharing this experience in a smaller group felt like exploring the city with a deeply knowledgeable friend. If you are in Hiroshima, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Marin. Mo picked us up from our hotel and gave us a fantastic, personalised tour of the atomic bomb sites, taking us places we never would have found on our own. Beyond the tour experience itself being 5 stars, Mo was a 5 star person and I loved getting to know her too on our tour. Highly recommend!
