Een privétour van een hele dag door Hiroshima en Miyajima, begeleid door een local met meer dan 20 jaar ervaring in de stad. Deze 8 uur durende tour biedt een duidelijke introductie tot de geschiedenis en vredesboodschap van Hiroshima, gevolgd door tijd op Miyajima Island in een ontspannen, flexibel tempo. We beginnen bij Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, waar ik historische achtergrond en lokale perspectieven op het verleden en herstel van de stad deel. Na een lunchpauze met lokale Hiroshima gerechten zoals okonomiyaki, met vegetarische en glutenvrije opties, reizen we naar Miyajima Island om Itsukushima Shrine, de iconische “drijvende” torii poort, en rustigere delen van het eiland te bezoeken. De route staat niet vast. Timing, volgorde en tempo worden aangepast op basis van uw interesses, energieniveau, weer en het getij. Afhankelijk van de omstandigheden kunnen we de dag op Miyajima beginnen om de torii-poort bij hoog water te zien. We had the perfect day in Hiroshima with our guide Alex. We started off at Miyajima. Despite the hundreds of tourists pouring into the island every hour, Alex knows all the hidden treasures, and we were often the only tourists as we visited beautiful hidden passages between the main attractions. We enjoyed an amazing okonomiyaki lunch together, which Alex kindly ensured met our dietary standards. From there we progressed to the Peace Memorial, including visiting a hidden gem of a museum that was among the highlights of our time in Japan. Alex's professionalism and expertise was apparent throughout the entire tour, and we strongly recommend him as a guide for anyone visiting Hiroshima.
We spent the day with Alexander Kranenburg. He was knowledgeable, friendly and helped us manage the heat in July. Hiroshima is an emotional and definitely worth visiting. We would highly recommend a tour either him.

This was great experience for us. Historic places you learn a lot when you are guided by your guide. Alex was great local guide who was right on time at the hotel. His knowledge was great about Hiroshima and also about the world. This was great activity for me and for my family since we wanted to visit Hiroshima and no doubt Alex made it even more pleasant visit for us with his knowledge and easy going manners.

Very informative. You learn a lot and see/learn things you wouldn’t if you didnt have a guide. Alex was absolutely amazing, wish we could have him on every tour. Best tour/guide we have ever been on and we have used Viator or many of our travels. Do NOT miss your chance to book this tour with Alex. It was the most memorable thing we did in our two weeks in Japan. Our teenagers enjoyed it just as much as we did.

We enjoyed our tour with Alex very much. We visited the Peace Park. Atomic Bomb Museum, and Miyajima. He was very knowledgeable about the history of these place and also of ferry schedules, buying tickets, etc which helped us make the most of our limited time in Hitlroshima. He even showed us a great place for lunch. His communication with us before the trip was excellent and he was there to pick us up at the port and got us back to the ship on time.

We had a great day with Alex it was a full day and personalized for us as a couple. He was fully informed and showed us all the great aspects of Miyajima and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Cost effective with trams, ferry and entry fees. Highly recommend.
