MIYAJIMA eiland, 1. Dit is mijn persoonlijke favoriete Japanse Tempel die is zeer schilderachtig, leuk om te zien, mooie plek om te gaan. (Rolstoel moeilijk te accucess) Facultatief : Vijf verdiepingen Pagode, Senjokaku-Paviriaon enzovoort.
Lunch : Lunchopties : Tijdens onze pauze in de buurt van Peace Memorial Park, heb je verschillende keuzes, waaronder ramen, casual sushi, lokale comfort foods zoals Okonomiyaki en Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles), lichte maaltijden in cafés, of onigiri (rijstballen). Belangrijke dieetnotities : Peace Memorial Park biedt iets meer veganistische en glutenvrije opties in vergelijking met Miyajima. Houd er rekening mee dat veganistische en glutenvrije lunchopties op Miyajima Island uiterst beperkt zijn en een zorgvuldige planning vereisen. 1. Wandel door "Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park" met een lokale Engels sprekende Gids die echte verhalen van veerkracht en hoop deelt. 2. Bezoek het "Kindervredesmonument", geïnspireerd door Sadako Sasaki en haar papieren kranen voor vrede. 3. Wij geloven dat de museumervaring diep persoonlijk is, en stilte en privéreflectie vereist. We raden u ten zeerste aan om het museum na de rondleiding in uw eigen tempo te bezoeken. Pancho’s rol : Voordat je het museum binnengaat, zal Pancho diepgaande historische context en ontroerende verhalen bieden in de Dome en Cenotaph, zodat je het museum binnenkomt met een veel rijker begrip en persoonlijke verbinding met de geschiedenis. We spent the day with Pancho and it was fabulous! He picked us up at the train station and immediately felt like a friend. We really appreciated him sharing his family's history with us. It is unique to have such a personal connection to the history and you can tell it is really part of who he is. He was great at answering questions and making conversation. He has a good command of English and is easy to understand. Pancho was very helpful to get us to Miyajima and give us suggestions for things to see. It was a lovely day and you won't regret booking with Pancho!

We had a wonderful time exploring these two areas. As a native of Hiroshima Pancho was able to share his personal family experience with us which we appreciated. We love Pancho!! His personal ties to the history of Hiroshima adds such a personal and unique touch to his tour. Our guide Pancho was outstanding. We were a group of 6 that booked a private tour to allow flexibility with our sightseeing itinerary. Pancho did a great job setting up the tour to fit our needs. His personal touch and excellent English made our tour memorable. He took us to a restaurant to let us taste one of his favorite foods and it was fantastic. Such an incredible experience! Our guide, Pancho, is incredible and has such a unique and knowledgeable perspective on both Hiroshima and Miyajima island. Pancho was an amazing guide- super communicative before our trip and even helped me figure out local ferry schedule for our return the next day since we stayed overnight at Miyajima. Hw met us at the Shinkansen (at our car) and provided amazing service from beginning to end! He is a local expert and his grandfather is a survivor of the atomic bomb. He was also able to speak from personal perspective about how local residents feel about Americans (no ill will) and how kids in Hiroshima have been taught since a young age to promote peace, and both perspectives on Japan’s role as well as US’ role and how both countries played a part. We weren’t sure how Americans would be received specifically in this part of Japan. He also took us to have local okonomiyaki with oysters, and to 7-11 at my husband’s request for the smooth vending machine. On Miyajima island, he arranged for our hotel shuttle to meet us at the port and take our luggage so we can tour with him without extra stuff. He took us to the famous floating Torii gate and then to Daoshoin temple- which we had never even heard of- but ended up being our favorite because of how beautiful and mystical it was! Highly recommend Pancho!
