Himeji Castle's geschiedenis strekt zich uit van de 14e-eeuwse oorsprong als een fort tot de 17e-eeuwse bouw van de huidige structuur door Ikeda Terumasa. Bekend als het Witte Reiger Kasteel, overleefde het eeuwen van verandering, waaronder het einde van het feodalisme en zelfs de Tweede Wereldoorlog bombardementen. Het kasteel, een belangrijk symbool van Japanse kasteelarchitectuur, werd in 1993 aangewezen als UNESCO Werelderfgoed en heeft verschillende grote restauratieprojecten ondergaan om de iconische witte gipsen muren en ingewikkelde houten structuren te behouden.
KOKO - EN, Himeji Castle Nishi Oyashiki Ato Garden, is 3,5 hectare groot en 8,5 hectare groot werd geopend op 29 april 1992 ter herdenking van het 100-jarig bestaan van Himeji wordt een gemeente. Het is een nieuwe culturele site om niet alleen te dienen voor historisch en cultureel behoud, maar ook ter aanvulling van het UNESCO Werelderfgoed HIMEJI CASTLE
Arima Onsen heeft een geschiedenis als de oudste warmwaterbron van Japan, met legendes die de ontdekking toeschrijven aan mythologische figuren en vroege verslagen uit de 7e eeuw die het bezoek van keizer Jomei vermelden. In de loop der eeuwen werd het bezocht door keizers en samoerai, een ontwikkeling die werd gestimuleerd door de Naraperiode monnik Gyoki die Onsen-ji Tempel bouwde en de Kamakuraperiode monnik Ninsai die onderdak vestigde.
De berg Shosha, op een hoogte van 371 meter, ligt ten noordwesten van Himeji City. De eerste kabelbaan werd aangelegd in 1958. Deze kabelbaan gebruikte 2 kabelbanen, genaamd Soyokaze en Sachikaze, die elk 30 passagiers konden vervoeren. In 1992 werd de kabelbaan uitgebreid, en werkt momenteel met 2 kabelbanen, die elk maximaal 60 passagiers kunnen vervoeren.
De Kobe Haventoren is een 108 meter hoog monument in Kobe, Japan, bekend om zijn unieke rode, zandlopervormige pijpstructuur. Na een meerjarige renovatie heropende het op 26 april 2024, met nieuwe en bijgewerkte attracties

Your in Japan so lots of walking. The castle was absolutely beautiful. But not for those with any type of issue with walking. You climb up to the castle via uneven ground. Once inside, several levels of stairs that are very steep. Then you decend steeper stairs. Worth it but definitely not for those that experience difficulties. The ropeway was closed for the day due to high winds I believe. So we did the Kobe Port Tower which has lovely views but not completely an equal trade. Kareem was very pleasant.

It was relaxed and at our own pace. Our guide, Arslan, took great care of us. He showed us all the sights and even a few off the usual path.

Ali was very nice but ultimately he was a driver, not a tour guide as we had expected. His English was limited and though nice he was very shy and did not talk much or tell us barely anything about the locations. We had thought that a “luxury” tour with a “personal guide” would include someone who could come along with us at each stop (or at least the castle) and give us a rich background on the location and history, but the only service provided was transportation. There was also an issue/miscommunication where the tour company messaged me the night before saying there was a “glitch” with Viator and that the tickets/admission fees were actually NOT included, even though it stated clearly in the description that they were. After some back and forth we got them to correct their mistake but it did sour the experience a bit. Even with the admission being paid for, $675 for transportation and admission feels like a rip-off honestly. I would not do it again.
Our driver Hamza was polite, punctual, respectful and knowledgable. Our private car was spacious for our family. We got picked up and had a very comfortable day exploring the various stops on our tour. Hamza also made some good restaurant recommendations for us for lunch. Overall, very relaxing and productive day spent in Kobe, Himeji Castle and the cable car ride with beautiful views from the mountain and temple. Highly recommend!
