Wil je de waarheid achter Dracula achterhalen? Het kasteel van Bran is de plaats waar zijn legende het hele jaar door in leven wordt gehouden. Het is het beroemdste kasteel in Transsylvanië en wacht op u om het te bezoeken. Er wordt aangenomen dat het toebehoorde aan Vlad de Spietser, de echte heerser achter de naam "Dracula". Maar wat is een mythe en welke is de waarheid? U kunt erachter komen of u ervoor kiest om deze privétour te maken. Het tweede deel van de reis staat in het teken van het buitenleven. We bezoeken Pestera, een tijdloze plek. Een dorp omringd door de mooiste bergen die je ooit zult zien. Een plek waar de lokale bevolking nog als tienden van jaren geleden leeft. Een plek die nauwelijks wordt aangeraakt door technologie. Een kans voor u om de traditionele maaltijden te proeven, allemaal bereid met puur natuurlijke ingrediënten. De ochtend brengt ons naar Bran Castle, waar de legende van graaf Dracula het hele jaar door in leven wordt gehouden. Bran Castle, gebouwd in de 13e eeuw, is een intrigerend fort op een heuveltop en een van de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden in Roemenië. Toeristen komen uit alle hoeken van de wereld om een rondleiding door dit majestueuze kasteel te ervaren, waarvan bekend is dat het toebehoorde aan Vlad de Spietser, de vermeende inspiratie voor graaf Dracula. Beide namen zijn doordrenkt van mysterie en mythe, en u zult genieten van het verkennen van de oorsprong van beide.
Vervolgens wordt u tijdens deze fantastische dagtocht getrakteerd op een wandeling langs Pestera Village, een van de mooiste authentieke bergdorpen in Roemenië. De eenvoud van deze plek en het adembenemende uitzicht zullen u ademloos maken. Dit is een gemakkelijk parcours van 3 tot 4 km, 100-200 m hoogte, in totaal 1 tot 2 uur wandelen op brede paden zonder blootstelling of gevaarlijke kliffen (op verzoek kunnen we de wandeling korter of langer maken, of gewoon plaatsnemen voor de lunch op een lokaal restaurant) Deze reis is geschikt voor gezinnen of andere groepen mensen die 2 uur langzaam op verschillende terreinen kunnen lopen. Verplichte uitrusting: Lichte wandelschoenen, kleding die bij het buitenweer past en regenjas.

Really enjoyed the tour. Ramona was very knowledgeable and my son and I really enjoyed the stories and the scenery. Hike and mountain village was our favourite part and we got to try some good Romanian desserts and coffee ☕️

Really enjoyed our day trip with Ramona to Pestera and Bran Castle . We really like walking so was refreshing to be out of the city and taking in some beautiful country views. Ramona had first hand knowledge of the area so was a good walk. Bran Castle is one of those places you go to when in Transylvania. We already had a bit of knowledge about the castle and it was also a relief to know Ramona was not going to add to the myth but was informative about its origins.

This tour is a must do, Ramona was so knowledgeable and so engaging, the tour of Bran Castle was really interesting, and the hike through the countryside was amazing, so peaceful and the views were spectacular, I can't recommend this enough!

Traveling from Australia we wanted a personal real Romanian tour to see the village life and regional Romania We got this from this tour!!! Unbelievable 👍👍 Ramona our tour guide was fantastic and made the tour extremely personal and catered for our needs and personal experiences we wanted. Ramona gave us great detail to the history of Romania and Bran Castle and also introduced us to genuine Romanian food Overall if you travel to Brasov you must get a tour with Ramona as you want forget it 10/10 Cheers Trav

The Hike&City was the highlight of our trip so we totally recommend it. We did what was planned in reverse because of the weather forecast: a hike in mountainous villages (with some snow!), a lunch in a restaurant where we tried lots of Romanian foods, and then the visit of the castle. For context, we stayed in Romania for a week and travel to multiple places using public transport. Without a car and without the knowledge of where to go (especially as we had never travelled to Romania and were a bit worried about bears), we would never have been able to do this hike without Ramona and we loved it so much. Romania isn't just big cities and a look into the history of the country shows that a big part of what makes the country was for a long time lots of small farms on remote villages, therefore seeing the nature is definetely a big plus, that's why we picked this tour and not another tour with only the castle. I read the Dracula book while on our holidays and the landscapes that we saw (we had a nice view on a mountain pass and saw some specific hay stacks and small houses) matches the descriptions from the book so it's very topical to pair this hike to the Dracula castle visit. Lastly our guide Ramona was very nice, before the trip I was concerned that it might be awkward to spend the whole day with a stranger but she was very friendly and we chatted a lot, about Romania, the countryside and her personal experience there but also normal chatting. We had a really great day. It was my first time making a booking on TripAdvisor and I wasn't sure if it would be worth the money but the nice landscapes, the food, and the chat with a friendly local person were really worth it.

We had 2 trips with Ramona and this was one of them. We are a family of four. We were amused by her stories. She is an excellent guide and a good company. She really knows how to match the right type of trip to the right type of group. Even the teenagers liked hearing her stories about the places. We had the pleasure of having lunch in special and intimate places only she knows about. Thank you Ramona for the experience. We have good memories and the photos to prove it. Highly recommended.
