Ontdek alle hoogtepunten van de oude stad die Bratislava te bieden heeft. Volg deze introductietour en leer meer over onze geschiedenis, eten, politiek, tradities en interessante verhalen uit de omgeving. We kunnen praten over alles wat met de stad te maken heeft, aangezien deze tour meer op een ontdekkingstocht door Bratislava en Slowakije lijkt. Onderweg zal ik u enkele restaurants, bars en plaatsen laten zien waar u van uw avond kunt genieten terwijl u hier bent. Als je benieuwd bent waar Nicole Kidman met George Clooney hier hun film hebben opgenomen, wat de traditie is achter Paasmaandag, waarom Slowakije een van de jongste landen ter wereld is of waarom Bratislava de hoofdstad en kroningsstad van het Koninkrijk Hongarije werd, dan is dit tour is misschien iets voor jou. We ontmoeten elkaar en begroeten elkaar op het centrale plein, waar ik je kort in onze geschiedenis zal introduceren. We zullen het ook hebben over het plein en zijn hoogtepunten.
We bewonderen het historische gebouw van het Slowaakse Nationale Theater, Hotel Carlton, het standbeeld van een van onze beroemdste dichters. We praten over de voormalige stadsversterking, over de Slavische taalgroepen en aan de hand van het plein duiken we in de cinematografie. Op weg naar het plein ontmoeten en begroeten we onze twee populairste standbeelden van de stad.
Kort bezoek aan de kathedraal. Het hangt ervan af of er geen dienst of een bruiloft is. Dit is de plaats waar Hongaarse monarchen werden gekroond, wat de top van de toren symboliseert met een kroon en niet met een kruis zoals gewoonlijk. Als je nog niet hebt gehoord wat we op Paasmaandag doen, is dit het beste moment om erover te praten als we langs een treurwilg komen.
We praten over de voormalige Joodse wijk met als zetel de Neolog-synagoge (afgebroken in de jaren zestig), hoe het er vroeger uitzag en hoe het nu is, de oorsprong van Krav Maga en andere informatie met betrekking tot de Joodse cultuur in Bratislava.
Dit gebied wordt door de lokale bevolking onze Bermuda Triangel genoemd. In dit geval verdwijnen er geen vliegtuigen of schepen, dus maak je geen zorgen. Er zijn maar weinig pubs. Vroeger, toen we Slowaakse kronen gebruikten, waren drankjes veel goedkoper. Misschien wil ik wel wat van mijn ervaringen van die plek met jullie delen...
We gaan het hebben over traditionele gerechten, ik laat je enkele plekken zien waar je terecht kunt voor lunch of diner, waar je een glas wijn kunt pakken of gewoon een lekker drankje kunt pakken voor de avond. We lopen door de laatste staande poort van het stadsfort, passeren het smalste gebouw in Slowakije en worden ook beschouwd als de smalste straat in Bratislava.
We drinken een kleine verfrissing op de kasteelheuvel en praten over het IJzeren Gordijn, interessante feiten over Bratislava en ons kasteel. Precies dit kasteel werd in 2005 uitgekozen voor de top tussen Bush en Poetin. Aan de andere kant van de rivier kunt u Petržalka bewonderen, de grootste woonwijk van Centraal-Europa, gebouwd onder het vorige regime... Op de terugweg naar het stadscentrum passeren we onze Nationale Raad, waar we onze politieke situatie bespreken en van daaruit zal ik een gedenkteken uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog aanwijzen, dat zeker de moeite waard is om te bezoeken als je in Bratislava bent.

Our guide PTric was so friendly, with a great knowledge of history. He was also making auprises with sparknglik wine and many others. He is really a guy you need for discover Bratislava. Had so much FUN💪🏼
I recently had the privilege of Patrik leading us on a tour of Bratislava. Along with being able to pick us up from the train station (and offering to drop us off) which was a huge help, he was very helpful and informative throughout the duration of the tour even bringing along additional visuals and photographs to reinforce what he told us. His English was great, his food recommendations were spot on, and he had a good sense of humor. The sites we visited showed great views of the city and I felt as we got a good summary of the city given the short duration we spent with him. Would highly recommend for those spending time in the city.

Patrik was an outstanding guide—well-prepared, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. We booked a full-day walking tour for our family group of about 30 people, and from the very beginning, he set the tone with a short but really helpful overview of the city’s history. Throughout the tour, his explanations were clear and engaging, and his English is excellent. He happily answered all of our questions and made sure everyone was included. One of the highlights came after a good stretch of walking—he led us to a shady spot with a beautiful view of the city, then surprised us by pulling out cold sparkling wine from his backpack and serving it to the whole group. He also organized a fantastic lunch at a local Slovak restaurant—delicious food, and plenty of it! Even with such a large group ranging in age from 8 to 80, the pace was comfortable for everyone. Our only small suggestion would be to plan in a few more bathroom breaks. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Patrik—he’s one of the best guides we’ve had.
My experience with Patrick as a tour guide of our group was fantastic! I had contacted Patrik online a few months before organizing a group reunion with 32 adults in Bratislava and surroundings. Patrick was very professional and attentive and made many good suggestions during our online communication as well as during our two-day tour. In addition to a walking tour of Bratislava he also organized a bus tour of specific points of interest for our group, and restaurant reservations for both days. He was very punctual and considerate of the diverse requirements of such a large group. I can only recommend Patrik to any group interested in private tour in Slovakia, specifically in Bratislava.

Patrik was informative, insightful and entertaining.
