Het verhaal van Tipu Sultan is een meeslepende wandeltocht in Bangalore. Deze tour wordt geleid door een culturele evangelist die de mysteries en opmerkelijke gebeurtenissen uit het leven van Tipu Sultan zal ontrafelen die een blijvende impact op Zuid-India hebben achtergelaten. We beginnen de wandeling op de grootste groothandelsmarkt van Bangalore. Gasten zullen een zintuiglijk extravaganza meemaken met de talloze geuren, kleuren en geluiden van de markt
We bezoeken het fort van Bangalore. Gebouwd in 1537 door Kempe Gowda, de oprichter van Bangalore als een modderfort, werd het in 1761 versterkt met steen door Tipu's vader Hyder Ali. We zullen praten over hoe het fort een rol speelde in de Anglo Mysore-oorlogen tussen Tipu en de Britse troepen geleid door de legendarische Lord Cornwallis. Let op Het fort is op zondag gesloten en dus als de boeking voor een zondag is, kan dit niet worden bezocht.
We bezoeken de prachtige Kote Venkataraman-tempel. Gebouwd in de 17e eeuw volgt deze tempel een archietcure stijl die een samensmelting is van Dravidische en Vijayanagar elementen. Deze tempel vormde de setting voor de schattenjacht in het boek Riddle of the Seventh Stone.
Het zomerpaleis van Tipu is een fascinerende structuur met teakpilaren en fresco's. Het paleis legt belangrijke mijlpalen vast in het leven van Tipu, inclusief zijn vroege leven, economische en sociale hervormingen die hij heeft ondernomen, zijn overwinningen en uiteindelijk ook de nederlaag.

This tour was definitely worthwhile. KR market is a vibrant and bustling place, even more so for me since I took the tour on a Sunday which as I've been told is significantly more crowded than other days. I will admit, it might not be a type of crowd for everyone. I also enjoyed how Vignesh was able to share a glimpse of Tipu Sultan's life in a way that even a foreigner can easily appreciate. My guide's knowledge of the local history was fascinating, and the stops along the way felt designed to build up on the story of Tipu Sultan's life. Overall the tour was great.

This is a great walking tour. You get to see a lot of cool sites in a short amount of time. I was able to fit this in before I went to the airport to fly home.

Prashant, the guide, was knowledgeable and very passionate about Hindu mythology and Indian culture and history. I personally found the mythology and culture especially interesting. Pick up and drop off went very smoothly and safely. I would definitely recommend this tour.
We were picked up from metro station of chikpet and we walked to few fantastic monuments of Tipu Sultan who is pupularly known in India as Tiger of Mysore. We visited his Summer Palace which was made of wood and had beautiful mirror work. We alps saw a very well maintained Fort and armoury where Tipu kept his rockets and other ammunition for this wars with Britain. We also saw a serene temple of Lord Vishnu. Our gudie was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended
