Met mij ontdek je de ware betekenis achter Leonardo's Mona Lisa! Een privétour van twee uur door het Louvre beperkt tot 6 personen, in het Engels. Het is een wandeling langs de hoogtepunten van de collectie. We ontmoeten elkaar buiten bij het standbeeld van Lodewijk XIV bij de Piramide. NEEM EERST CONTACT MET MIJ OP VOORDAT U RESERVEERT, geef ik de Museum Tickets & de Groep Reservering Ticket (het is een niet-restitueerbare kosten - ik moet eerst de beschikbaarheid van het ticket raadplegen voordat ik uw reservering bevestig). Neem minstens 2 dagen van tevoren contact met mij op, omdat de beschikbaarheid in het hoogseizoen beperkt is. Kinderen onder de 18 krijgen gratis toegang met ID. We bezoeken de vleugels van Sully & Denon (Het Louvre, Rome, Griekenland, Venus de Milo, Botticelli, Veronese, Mona Lisa, Titiaan, David, Géricault, Delacroix, Michelangelo, Canova). De kunstwerken van het Louvre bewaren hun geheimen, dus je hebt een Gids nodig om iets van hun mysterie te onthullen. Ik ben een Ierse kunstenaar en gespecialiseerd decorateur. Ik ben nu ook, de afgelopen 10 jaar, een Parijs Museum Gids.

Het Louvre was ooit een fort, een paleis en werd zelfs een keer gekraakt door kunstenaars, nu is het een van de beste musea ter wereld. Als professionele gids is het mijn missie om mensen inzicht te geven in hoe ze naar kunst moeten kijken, om te leren hoe ze het kunnen waarderen. Als kunstenaar ken ik het ambacht van het maken van kunst, hoe ik moet tekenen en schilderen. Met deze kennis kan ik een kunstwerk tot leven brengen, uitweiden over de historische context, de uniciteit ervan uitleggen en mijn kennis delen over hoe je de stijl en technieken van een kunstenaar kunt waarderen. Praten over kunst met humor en inzicht is wat je krijgt. Ik denk dat ik weet hoe ik deze passie voor kunst kan overbrengen op andere mensen.

Damien is knowledgeable and passionate. His insights and selections to see at The Louvre were captivating. Highly recommend.
I truly enjoyed my trip to the Louvre. I like art, but I love history. Damien has an extensive knowledge of both. He adds a bit of comedy which really adds to the tour. Damien truly made the art in the Louvre come alive. I felt as if I was in the paintings and in the minds of the artists. Although my main objective was to see the Mona Lisa, Damien truly helped me to appreciate other artists and their art work in the museum. I would not have appreciated the true art, beauty and history of the Louvre without Damien.
Damien was a great tour guide. He has an extensive art education and he was very knowledgeable about the artwork, the artists, and the historical context of the artwork throughout the museum . He also made sure we saw all the popular pieces in our allotted time without rushing. He also has a pleasant disposition and made the tour fun.
I had the opportunity to tour the Louvre with Damien this past Spring. Prior to our visit, I appreciated that Damien asked what specifically my friend I wanted to spend our time viewing as there is too much to take in during one visit! Once there, to say Damien gave us an experience that was beyond our expectation is an understatement! His vast knowledge of not just the art itself, but the background and stories that surrounded the different pieces was so memorable! He also navigated us through galleries seamlessly! Absolutely one of the highlights of our time in Paris!! I cannot wait to return and could not imagine a visit to The Louvre without Damien guiding our group!
Damien was recommended by a friend and we could not have asked for a better guide! We received an AMAZING experience! Prior to our arrival, Damian was easy to reach, prompt in communications, and really helped us narrow down what areas of the museum to focus on for this visit. Day of the tour he was prompt and very friendly. Damien's knowledge was clear from the moment we stepped inside the Louvre. He is engaging, funny & knows so much about the art. He was quick to maneuver us in & out of crowds so that we could have the maximum experience. You never felt rushed and he was so wonderful about answering questions. We loved his ability to make us think about what we were looking at and to help us dive into the art and find our words/feelings about it. As an artist himself, he was able to give us a unique perspective on what the artist vs the patron of the piece was trying to get across. I will be calling on Damien again when I return and recommend him to all who are coming to Paris. You will not be disappointed when you book a tour with Damien!!!
Our family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids (18, 16, 13) traveled to Paris in June 2024. We had a short amount of time in Paris and wanted to get as much out of the Louvre as possible. Since we’re not familiar with the museum we decided to get a private guide. This was the best decision ever! Our private guide Damien met us outside the Louvre and guided us in without waiting in lines. Damien had ear pieces for each of us so that he could walk and talk. These were especially important in the busy rooms where it gets loud like the Mona Lisa. Our tour lasted roughly 2 hrs and we saw everything we wanted to and more! Damien’s knowledge of all the art in the Louvre was outstanding! His explanation of small details in certain art pieces really made the experience like we were walking in history. Damien had us all experience the Louvre with not only our eyes, but all our senses, even with some humor! It was a walk through history with the best guide! We would definitely use Damien again!
