Wat maakt deze klasse bijzonder; ➤ Onze ervaren shodo leraar zal je stap voor stap leren, dus maak je geen zorgen als je het nog nooit eerder hebt geprobeerd! (geen paniek!...een deel van het shodo ritueel is ook het oefenen van je geduld ) ➤ Je wordt begeleid door een Engels - Japanse of Chinese - Japanse vertaler, zodat je de klas volledig kunt begrijpen en vragen kunt stellen als die er is. ➤ Deelnemen met uw kind om de ervaring te delen en samen herinneringen te creëren ➤ Verrassing De leraar zal de buitenlandse namen van de deelnemers op houten labels schrijven met behulp van de kanji-tekens die ze hebben gekozen. ➤ Fotoshoot Leg je mooie kimono outfit en artwork vast in een foto. Je wordt gefotografeerd verkleed als een mooie Yamato Nadeshiko of een dappere samoerai. ➤ Souvenir van de leraar Een kalligrafiemeester zal het kanji-personage dat je vandaag hebt geprobeerd zorgvuldig op het oppervlak van de tas schrijven en je ontvangt een originele tas van Samurai Honor als cadeau. Neem je werk mee naar huis in deze tas.

- Aangezien u gemakkelijk zult zweten terwijl u hakama of een harnas draagt en zwaardvechtkunst beoefent, gelieve als volgt aan te komen :
- Smartphone Fotografie/Persoonlijke fotografie met smartphones is toegestaan, mits u geen selfies maakt of andere gasten fotografeert.
- Gelieve geen vaste statieven te gebruiken of video's op te nemen, omdat deze andere gasten kunnen storen.
- Activiteiten worden uitgevoerd in een Japanse stijl kamer met tatami matten, waar de deelnemers zitten in de seiza positie (de traditionele Japanse zithouding). Dit kan echter ongemakkelijk zijn voor internationale gasten die niet gewend zijn om op deze manier te zitten. Aarzel niet om ons te laten weten als u zich ongemakkelijk voelt. Voor gasten die het gevoel hebben dat ze mogelijk niet voor een langere periode in de seiza-positie kunnen zitten, bieden wij een stoel voor u om op te zitten.
- Wat als ze geen Japanse spreken? Wat als ze niet kunnen lezen of schrijven? Dat is absoluut geen probleem! Zelfs een 4-jarige kan een kleine “kalligrafie” kunstenaar worden. Kleine Borstel, Grote Verbeelding! ️ “Eerste stappen: mooie kalligrafie” voor kinderen jonger dan leeftijdsgrens

A really enjoyable afternoon spent practicing calligraphy whilst dressed in traditional Japanese clothing, learnt a lot and will be continuing with it back in the UK. The tea ceremony was clearly explained and really good fun to serve each other. An aftetnoon well spent!

We had a truly wonderful time at the calligraphy and kimono experience. Mau, our calligraphy sensei, was absolutely lovely and a true artist with 17 years of dedication to her craft. Calligraphy is not easy to master yet she guided us with patience and passion while sharing her deep knowledge of the art. She offered many kanji to choose from and also encouraged us to bring our own ideas. The other staff who worked there were equally warm and engaging. They shared some lovely, high quality photos of the activity they took of us and even provided us with souvenir tote bags and a developed photo for us to remember this experience. We really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommended this activity.

We dressed up in kimonos and since we were the only ones, got a personal experience. We ran over time since we were having a good time. We got personal instruction and got included in our package a customized fan, scroll, handbag, and professional level photos. they also sent us home with our practice papers which was cool. Great experience and very nice teacher.
Oh, the experience you have had seems truly splendid. I hear the package included kimono, custom-made fans, hanging scrolls, handbags, and professional-grade photographs. Furthermore, being permitted to take home even the practice paper is an honor, a token of your training. From what I understand, the instructors are well-versed in traditions and fashions from the Azuchi-Momoyama period through the late Edo period, excelling at reviving and conveying that spirit in the modern age. Receiving kind guidance from instructors through individual instruction, it was truly delightful, delightful indeed, to have an experience so engrossing you lost track of time. Moreover, SamuraiHonor provides English interpretation and explanations, allowing overseas guests to deeply learn the heart of Bushido. The experience you gained is truly the honor of Bushido; I hope you will continue to cherish that spirit.
This was such a fun and intimate experience. We learned the culture, they were very helpful and kind! The hospitality here is amazing and I would definitely recommend or try one of their other experiences. Next time I will do the tea ceremony. To have learned about the culture, experienced the kindness and cooperation of the staff, and above all, fully savored the "omotenashi"—this is truly commendable. Great experience for this last day in Osaka! My daughter (9 years) and I loved the calligraphy activity. Everything was perfect, the welcome, the people present were very pleasant and smiling. The photographer is very professional and took great photos. I am impressed by the Price quality ratio of this activity.

This was an interesting and challenging experience. It required patience, calm and the willingness to learn quickly, make mistakes and above all, PRACTISE! I was impressed with the preparations and the carefully managed sequence of this ‘learning’. This would take a lifetime, but for this taste of calligraphy it was excellent. My only problem was that the final section of the directions was extremely vague; this needs a simple addition like ‘… then cross the street and walk through the railway underpass, then turn left.’ Otherwise useful map.
