We starten de tour vanaf Hippodrome. Hippodrome Square, het sportieve en sociale centrum van het oude Byzantium, bood plaats aan 100.000 toeschouwers en bevatte voorwerpen uit alle hoeken van het rijk, zoals de Egyptische Obelisk en de Slangenkolom.
Ons volgende bezoek zal de Blauwe Moskee zijn, die zijn naam ontleent aan de wereldberoemde prachtige blauwe Iznik-tegels die het interieur versieren. Het is ook de enige keizerlijke moskee ter wereld die oorspronkelijk met zes minaretten werd gebouwd.

This half day tour was the ideal way to explore Istanbuls. blue mosque, hagia sophia and hippodrome were all breathtaking, and our guide brought the history to life with engaging stories. The pace was just right, allowing enough time to appreciate each site without feeling rushed.
