Onze eerste stop tijdens de tour is Red Beach, een van de mooiste en meest verbluffende stranden van het eiland, met al zijn unieke kleuren! Het ligt op slechts een steenworp afstand van de oude plaats Akrotiri. Het kleine strand zorgt voor een behoorlijk drukke atmosfeer en er zijn veel dagen waarop de meeste bezoekers ervoor kiezen om het strand niet te bezoeken en in plaats daarvan dit unieke landschap van rode en zwarte vulkanische rotsen vanaf de boot te bewonderen. Snorkelen wordt sterk aanbevolen vanwege de interessante rotsformaties die op de bodem van de zee te vinden zijn.
De volgende stop is het witte strand met kristalhelder water en een scherp contrast met het nabijgelegen strand van Kokkini (rood) strand. Dit strand is alleen over zee bereikbaar en minder populair dan de naburige baai en minder druk. Ideale plek voor landschapsfotografie.
Santorini heeft een unieke natuurlijke schoonheid en een wild landschap gecreëerd door vulkaanuitbarstingen. Binnen de caldera creëerde deze activiteit de donkergekleurde eilanden Nea en Palea Kameni. Een van de beste plekken om Santorini te verkennen is Palia Kameni, waar de warmwaterbronnen zich bevinden.
Een van de twee vulkanische eilanden in het midden van de Santorini Caldera, bekend als Hot Springs. Het temperatuurverschil tussen de zee en de Hot Springs is ongeveer 5 graden Celsius. Het water bevat zwavel, wat goed is voor de huid.
Bij onze volgende stop krijgen we de kans om te genieten van drie unieke plekken. Immerovigli, Firostefani en Fira oude haven. Traditionele huizen, smalle paden en uitzicht op de vulkaan zijn opvallende kenmerken. Er zijn twee havens op Santorini. De haven van Athinios is voor veerboten en commerciële boten, terwijl de haven van Gialos, ook wel bekend als de oude haven van Fira, alleen voor cruiseschippassagiers is. Gialos ligt net onder Fira, de hoofdstad van Santorini.

We took a private catamaran cruise today around the island of Santorini and it was truly amazing. The company picked us from the hotel and took us to the dock located on the southern part of the island. The driver was very informative about the island and pointed out areas of interest along the way. Once we got to the dock we boarded the Catamaran boat and the crew was spectacular. Mitsos was our main guide ensuring that we were taken care of every step of the way. He ensured we knew the history of the island and answered all our questions. Best of all he was also the cook and dinner was delicious. Stelios was the driver/captain of the catamaran. He was super nice and very much enjoyed getting to know both of them. He tailored our cruise to what we were interested in and ensured we had a wonderful time seeing all the beautiful spots around the island. Best of all his choice of music was spot on and we all throughly enjoyed the cruise. He took us to a secluded spot to watch the sunset and had played an amazing playlist to enhance the experience. At the very end he dropped us off at an area of the island that was not crowded with all the other cruises to make it easier for us to get off the boat. Our driver was there waiting for us to transfer us back to the hotel. If you are thinking about doing a private sunset cruise then I would highly recommend this one. I have traveled all over the world and taken many tours on the water and this by far exceeded our expectations! It was truly an incredible experience and most definitely a memorable one!

best sunset catamaran cruise ever! they took us to the best parts of the island, allowed time for swimming, and told us about the history of the island. dinner was delicious and the beers were cold. the crew was so friendly and caring. was definitely worth it! :)
