De Huayhuash trektocht op de bergketen is een van de mooiste trektochten ter wereld – en het is gemakkelijk te geloven. De dorpen Pocpa en Llamac zijn meestal de trailheads voor deze trek. De gehele lengte van de Cordillera Huayhuash strekt zich slechts 30 km uit, maar binnen zijn compacte gebied liggen verbazingwekkende torenhoge toppen. Bij bijna elke bocht kom je oog in oog te staan met glinsterende verticale wanden van ijs, sneeuw en rotsen. Prachtige meren, verschillende soorten vogels en kijk uit naar de massieve Andes Condors en naar Siula Grande 6.344 m.s.n.m., de site waar het populaire boek en film “Touching the Void” plaatsvond! I had an amazing experience with this agency during the Huayhuash and Santa Cruz treks. Everything was perfectly organized — from the logistics to the daily trekking plans. The organizers were professional and always made sure everything ran smoothly. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and very supportive throughout the journey. The cooks prepared delicious meals every day, much better than I expected in the mountains! I highly recommend this agency to anyone looking for a well-organized and unforgettable trekking adventure in Peru.

I just returned from the Huayhuash Mini Trek (6 days) with the route to Siula Grande, and I can only say that it was one of the best adventures of my life. Every day the landscape looked like a painting: turquoise lagoons, snow-capped mountains and valleys that leave you speechless. The trekking was challenging, but the guides made everything flow safely and with good energy. Always attentive, patient and with a great knowledge of the place. In addition, the food in the camp was surprisingly delicious, perfect for regaining strength after each day. My favorite moment was watching the sunrise in front of Siula Lake — a total silence, just the wind and mountains. It was magic. I recommend this tour 100%. If you are looking for an authentic mountain experience, unique landscapes and a personal challenge in the middle of the mountain range, Huayhuash will make you fall in love.
