De Villa d'Este is een 16e-eeuwse villa in Tivoli, in de buurt van Rome, beroemd om zijn Italiaanse renaissancetuin met terrasvormige heuvels en vooral vanwege de overvloed aan fonteinen. Het is nu een Italiaans staatsmuseum en staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO.
Hadrian's Villa (Villa Adriana in het Italiaans) is een groot Romeins archeologisch complex in Tivoli, Italië. Het staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van de UNESCO en is eigendom van de Republiek Italië en wordt sinds december 2014 geregisseerd en gerund door het Polo Museale del Lazio.

An early Saturday escape from Rome with a small group is never a bad idea. This tour takes you to visit more Roman and Renaissance history just far enough away from the Saturday hustle and bustle of Rome. Valentina helped make this tour great by sharing knowledge and history you can’t find at the sites. You’ll still make it back to Rome by 1:30pm if you want to schedule other tours as well.

A magnificent visit, the guide Valentina and the driver Renato were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed our 5 hr trip to Tivoli. Valentina was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of both villas. The conserved ruins of the ancient Villa Adriana were quite extraordinary. The gardens and fountains in the Renaissance Villa D'Este were beautiful and so cooling in the heat of the day. And Severio, our driver, entertained us at the beginning and end of our excursion by serenading us on his trumpet, which was a lot of fun. We highly recommend the tour.

We had an awesome half-day tour of Tivoli! Our guide, Valentina, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent context for the sites we visited, sharing fascinating historical details about the villas.
