Hele dag wandelen in Cappadocië

A day rich in walking, hidden discoveries among the rocks, and magnificent views of the Cappadocia valleys, thanks to the expertise and friendliness of our guide Halil-Erdin! We will keep very, very beautiful memories of it.

Halil our guide was fantastic! The entire day was perfect. The hike was medium hard and so worth it The best way to see the Valleys and fairy chimneys! Halil was so knowledgeable and passionate about his information.. we highly recommend it!

We were picked up at 9 AM by Halil and his wife Caroline and driven to the starting point of the hike. We hiked through Vineyard Valley, Love Valley, Rose Valley, and Red Valley. After about 7 km, there was freshly squeezed orange juice, after 9 km lunch, and at the end, a wine tasting in Avanos, Halil's hometown. Halil provided us with unique information about the history, nature, formation, and also personal impressions of his life. The hike was very varied. A truly unique experience in nature, without tourist attractions or sales pitches. Highly recommended

My friend and I had the chance to go on this walk/hike with Erdin. He is very personable and has a lot of good information along the way. He speaks different languages and has so much life experience. We had snack and water along the way and a nice lunch with a great view. Going through these different valleys with a professional guide made all the difference. He knew about all the fruit trees growing in the area which was so interesting as a lot of them were in bloom. At the end of the day Erdin even took us to his favourite wine make in his town so we could sample some wine. Such a nice way to end our 15km walk. We would certainly recommend this tour with Erdin. Just make sure you wear proper shoes as some areas are a bit slippery or wet.

This is a tour that I would recommend so much. Halil brought me to beautiful places that I would not have walked alone. He gave me a lot of knowledge about the area. He brought lunch that we sat out in nature eating with the most beautiful view. Fantastic day.

An amazing adventure, getting to know the landscape and history step by step. It's something I could never have done on my own. Halil's passion and knowledge of the nature, history and geology of this place really shines through. To see some of the churches and chapels carved out of stone in the middle of a rock formation called a fairy chimney spire - and to be in places where it was just our small group - this is the gift of going off the beaten track to really experience this landscape by walking!

Oct. 2025 - We booked a tour with Erdin because we wanted some real trekking and a guide to accompany us on the discovery of Cappadocia. Erdin was much more than that! We started by hiking in the white valley after recharging ourselves with exquisite local juice. The hike surprised us with unexpected and wonderful views and we also discovered ancient houses carved into the rock and ancient churches. Erdin answered ALL of our questions and knows every inch of the valleys. We really recommend this tour and if we had more time, we would have done more. Halil, our guide was incredible. This was my favorite excursion in Greece. Halil led us on a 9 mile hike showing us sites and sharing historical facts we could not have found on our own. We tried fruits that grew in the valley and explored caves in this remote area. Really incredible. We had fresh squeezed juice at a break stop and a picnic in another. If you are worried about the mileage please know there are breaks. After the hike Halil drove us to a wine shop where we all enjoyed a glass of wine and conversation. You NEED to do this!! It was by far the best day of my trip. I just finished my hiking day with Halil and it was one I will never forget. He knows SO much about the area and obviously loves what he does. He took so many pictures for me and knew everything about the history of the land. I learned so much! He is such a genuine and kind person. And the scenery is second to none! I kept looking around and wondering if it was real! I can’t emphasize enough how happy I am to have had this day with Halil. Trust me, you won’t regret this experience!
