Laten we gaan! Zodra we allemaal aan boord van ons eigen privévoertuig springen en vertrekken naar de machtige Mekong-rivier! Deze reis duurt ongeveer drie uur en geeft je de kans om alles te leren over de loop van de rivier en hoe deze in Vietnam aankomt vanaf haar oorsprong in de besneeuwde bergen van Tibet. Je kunt ook genieten van het spectaculaire omringende landschap terwijl we door de wonderbaarlijk vruchtbare regio rijden. Grijp de kans om een glimp op te vangen van de lokale manier van leven terwijl we door een van de agrarische hotspots van het graafschap rijden.
Ontdek Cai Be & lokale Vietnamese cultuur Zodra we bij Cai Be aankomen, gaan we aan boord van onze privé sampan (een traditionele, gemotoriseerde boot) om onze onvergetelijke cruise langs de Mekong rivier te beginnen. Eerst zullen we een kleine traditionele drijvende markt ervaren. Dit is een onmisbare kans om inzicht te krijgen in handel buiten de toeristische markten van de stad. Verwacht verblind te worden door een scala aan kleuren, geuren en geluiden. Houd je camera bij de hand om mooie foto's te maken!
Roeien Sampan & begeleide fietstocht Na de drijvende markt stappen we over op de roeiboten en gaan we de kleinere, afgelegen kanalen van de delta in. Hier kunnen we van dichtbij komen en deel uitmaken van het dagelijkse leven van lokale mensen en boeren. Vervolgens komen we terug op het droge terwijl we het eiland Tan Phong bezoeken. Na een korte stop bij een smakelijke fruitboomgaard, zullen we de betoverende muziek van Zuidwest-Vietnam ervaren terwijl we genieten van een lokaal optreden. We maken ook een begeleide fietstocht over dit prachtige eiland. Onderweg bezoeken we lokale families en leren we hoe ze het land gebruiken om van alles te maken, van delicaat rijstpapier tot de stevige daken van hun huizen. De families trakteren ons tijdens de lunch op Mekong-lekkernijen, waaronder vers gemaakte loempia's, gefrituurde pompoenbloem en mooi gestoofd varkensvlees gedrenkt in kokossap.
Ontdek meer van de Delta door Sampan Na de speciale Mekong-lunch stappen we over op een kleinere roeiboot waardoor we dieper in de kleinere kanalen van de Delta kunnen gaan om terug te keren naar onze grote boot. De motorboot vaart langzaam langs de rivieroevers met drijvende viskwekerijen en keert dan terug naar My Tho voor de reis terug naar Ho Chi Minh City.

Sonny was an excellent and informative guide. This tour was exactly as described and included excellent commentary on Vietnamese life in the present as well as historical details.
This is definitely worth booking, a bit touristy but very romantic.

We had a very comfortable day at Mekong Delta with our tour guide Slim. We were picked in a very comfortable minibus. Slim gave us insights into local culture, food, history etc. The tour was not rushed. We got experience the local culture with the residents of the islands. We chose vegetarian lunch which was included in our itinerary and it was very tasty. Overall our trip was very pleasant and we enjoyed our time. Will surely recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience on our Mekong Delta tour. Our guide, Sim, was extremely knowledgeable as well as very nice. He made us feel right at home as he introduced us to local village life in the area. The lunch that was included exceeded our expectations. My favorite was the fresh fish spring rolls. Our private tour to the Mekong Delta from Saigon was an unforgettable experience, especially traveling with our elderly parents. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully arranged.
