Ontdek de zoete kant van Philadelphia tijdens de Underground Donut Tour, een heerlijk wandelavontuur door de meest iconische smaken van de stad. We trappen het af in de buurt van Center City bij Federal Donuts, een lokale favoriet van Philadelphia met zowel speciale donuts als warme en verse dagspecials. Van daaruit bezoeken we een levendige mochi-donutwinkel, met wereldwijde smaken als matcha, ube en zwarte sesam, waarbij elke hap een taaie twist geeft aan een klassieke traktatie. Vervolgens brengen we de zoetheid in balans met een Philadelphia-nietje, de hete en frisse zachte krakelingen, een hartig icoon dat perfect is gebakken. Tenslotte gaan we naar de legendarische Reading Terminal Market om Beiler’s Donuts te bezoeken, waar handgemaakte donuts voor je ogen worden gebakken, gevuld en geglazuurd. Deze tour combineert cultuur, smaak en geschiedenis in één onvergetelijke ervaring, met de beste bakkerijen van de stad en haar liefde voor alle heerlijke dingen.

Dit is waar we de tour starten. Ze hebben de beste warme en verse donuts.
We lopen door het stadscentrum en bieden leuke weetjes over eten, geschiedenis en architectuur.
Bij Mochinut proberen we een aantal van hun smakelijke donuts in mochi-stijl. Dit zijn donuts in Japanse stijl gemaakt met mochi (rijke bloem). Je gaat van ze houden!
Je bezoekt de historische Reading Terminal-markt, een van de populairste toeristische attracties in Philadelphia.
De laatste en laatste stop van onze tour. Een van de beste hebben we voor het laatst bewaard. Zorg ervoor dat je trek hebt, zodat je ruimte hebt voor dit laatste.
Als het een zondag is, stoppen we bij El Merkury voor een aantal van hun heerlijke churros. Bespaar ruimte, want dit is een geweldige manier om de tour te beëindigen!

This is the second city I have done the donut tour with Underground Donut. The guide was knowledgeable about Philly and the donuts were amazing. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go on another tour in the next city. I was the only person on the tour and I was surprised the tour was not canceled. Thank you for doing a tour for one. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the variety of donuts and near donuts as we walked through the city. Jason, our guide shared interesting facts tailored to our interests that I wouldn't find in any guidebook. I wont spoil the surprise but we also made a stop for an experience that was unexpected and unique. Highly recommend.

Very fun and interesting, donuts are included in price. Tour guide mentioned a lot of personal stories and pointed out spots that are off the beaten path. The locations we visited were interesting and hearing the history behind them was awesome

This was an excellent small group tour! We learned about the history and architecture in Philly along with eating some delicious donuts! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of our follow-up questions.
