Onlangs verkozen tot een van TripAdvisor's beste food tours in de VS. Ontdek Boston's zoetste kant tijdens de Underground Donut Tour, een heerlijke reis door de meest iconische wijken en bakkerijen van de stad. We trappen het centrum af bij Kane’s Donuts in het Financial District, en proeven enkele van hun klassieke creaties voordat we langs de haven en door de historische Quincy Market wandelen. Van daaruit gaan we naar de Boston Public Market voor warme, verse ciderdonuts die de smaken van New England vangen. Vervolgens proeven we een selectie ambachtelijke donuts die dagelijks vers worden gemaakt door lokale bakkers voordat we op weg gaan naar North End, de geliefde Italiaanse wijk van Boston. Onze laatste stop is de legendarische Bova’s Bakery, waar we afsluiten met een specialiteit Boston donut die elke hap waard is. Kom hongerig, deze wandeltocht is een perfecte mix van geschiedenis, cultuur en onweerstaanbare smaak.

Gasten kunnen donuts proeven van Kanes Donuts, een van de meest iconische donutwinkels van Boston.
Op de Boston Market kunnen gasten tal van verschillende voedselverkopers en verschillende winkels zien die lokaal in Boston zijn. We kunnen ook appelcider-donuts en cider van een lokale donutmaker proberen.
We lopen langs de Greenway en praten over de prominente plaats ervan in de geschiedenis van Boston.
We lopen door Quincy Market en wijzen u op een aantal lokale winkels, restaurants en andere bezienswaardigheden.
Nadat we door North End zijn gelopen, eindigen we onze tour bij Union Square Donuts, een van de nieuwste donutwinkels in Boston. Hier zullen we hun steeds wisselende assortiment van ambachtelijk vormgegeven donuts proberen.
Bova's Bakery is een van de oudste en beste bakkerijen in North End. Hier zullen we een werkelijk unieke Boston-donut proeven, de Boston-crème. Het is echt geweldig. Je gaat het geweldig vinden.
Boston's North End of soms "Little Italy" genoemd, is een van de oudste buurten van Boston. We lopen door deze buurt op weg naar onze 3e stop op de tour. Onderweg praten we over de geschiedenis van de buurt en beantwoorden we onderweg alle vragen over de verschillende bedrijven.

Let’s start this off with the weather was very hot. We didn’t anticipate this level of heat when we made the reservation. It’s not conducive to indulging in sugary donuts. As for value, there were not as many samplings/secret eateries as I expected. It worked out for me because of the weather. Donuts were delicious. Every one of them. Our tour guide, Bob, was very knowledgeable and witty, however he had injured himself on his way to the meet up and the poor man conducted the tour as his eye swelled shut. He looked like he came out of boxing ring. Our hearts went out to him on his very off day. He is quite the trooper and did his level best to keep his enthusiasm up in spite of the situation. I would love to know him on a good day. Autumn would be superb. And bring a bottle of water. Maybe skip this one in the summer.

Our tour was on a Monday, and we were the only couple that signed up, so it was basically a private tour! Stephanie was amazing, sharing all the fun facts and making the tour a great time. Highly recommend!
