05:00 uur start HCMC voor een rit van 3 uur naar de Mekong Delta. Als je de stad achter je laat, verandert het landschap in uitzichten op rijstvelden, prachtige boomgaarden langs de weg en andere scènes die typisch zijn voor Zuid-Vietnam. 8.00 uur, aankomst in de stad Can Tho - hoofdstad van het zuidwesten, begin de dag met een bezoek aan de drijvende markt van Cai Rang. Terwijl u de Mekong rivier oversteekt, observeert u de dagelijkse activiteiten van de lokale bevolking aan de oevers, ziet u huizen in traditionele stijl waarin de lokale bevolking woont, maar ook prachtige boomgaarden, drukke schepen, bouwwerven en drukke markten waar ze in hun levensonderhoud voorzien. We proberen te ontbijten op de drijvende markt, een speciale koffie/frisdrank te drinken, ananas op de boot. 10.00 uur, uitstappen voordat u Son Islet gaat verkennen - een eilandje in het midden van de Hau-rivier, niet ver van het vasteland gescheiden door het hele jaar door alluviale consoliderende groene orchideeën en de eerlijke, lieve en enthousiaste mensen. 12:00 uur, Lunchen met vele specialiteiten op dit eilandje. 18.30 uur, aankomst bij HCMC

8:00 uur, aankomst in de stad Can Tho - de hoofdstad van het zuidwesten, begin de dag met een bezoek aan de drijvende markt van Cai Rang. Terwijl u de Mekong rivier oversteekt, observeert u de dagelijkse activiteiten van de lokale bevolking aan de oevers, ziet u huizen in traditionele stijl waarin de lokale bevolking woont, maar ook prachtige boomgaarden, drukke schepen, bouwwerven en drukke markten waar ze in hun levensonderhoud voorzien. Ontbijten op de drijvende markt. Het is een geweldige ervaring als je kunt genieten van een heerlijk landelijk ontbijt, en tegelijkertijd een wankel gevoel krijgt als de golven tegen de zijkant van de boot slaan en je opgewonden raakt. Ondertussen heb je de mogelijkheid om een duik te nemen in de levendige sfeer van de ochtendkermis, met verwelkomend gelach en het geluid van overstromingen. In het bijzonder twee beroemde "specialiteiten" op de drijvende markt van Cai Rang die je niet mag missen zijn "shaken noodles" en "gestoofde koffie".
Daarna neemt onze gids je mee naar enkele traditionele workshops. Je hebt een geweldige tijd om te leren hoe de lokale bevolking “Hu Tieu” (rijstvermicelli) maakt. Ze zijn zacht, plat, glad en licht taai. Vervolgens brengt de boot je naar een andere plek om te genieten van ananas (bekend als de koningin der vruchten) die vers en lekker is. De verkoper zal de ananas ter plekke schillen, zodat u er direct op de boot van kunt genieten.
10:00 uur, na een bezoek aan de kleurrijke drijvende markt, uitchecken en van boord gaan voordat je het Son-eilandje gaat verkennen - een eilandje in het midden van de Hau-rivier dat niet ver van het vasteland is gescheiden met het hele jaar door alluviale consoliderende groene orchideeën en eerlijk, mooi & enthousiaste mensen. Eerste ervaring op het eilandje Son, waar je een drijvende viskwekerij op de rivier de Hau bezoekt. Visser heeft een verzameling vis. Vergeet niet in te checken “Voetmassage met Koivissen”. Als je tussen 80 huishoudens door het eilandje Son loopt, ervaar je het plukken van het fruit en geniet je ervan uit de boom wanneer je met de lokale bevolking de tuin bezoekt. Mis de apenbrug niet! Het is een goed idee en zeer zinvol met het vliegende menu. Flying menu” is een unieke stijl van Son-eilandje, elke familie bereidt één gerecht en serveert het allemaal aan u, de voordelen van gemeenschapstoerisme zullen worden gedeeld en gevuld met inwoners. 12.00 uur, lunchen met vele specialiteiten op dit eilandje. Na dit inzichtelijke bezoek keert u terug naar het hotel.
18.00 uur, aankomst in Ho Chi Minh-stad. Einde van de rondleiding.

It was an amazing experience visiting the mekong delta. the village tour was good. we learnt how puffed rice is made and had a taste of it. the floating market we reached at 8 am dont know if it was the right time, but we couldnt witness much of the market scene on the river at that time. we did visit a family on the boat and learnt about their life. they served us fruits and coconut water which was very refreshing. the mekong delta was also good, overall a good experience
Avoid VIET FUN TRAVEL COMPANY LIMITED if you actually want to visit the places you book. We booked the "1 Day Can Tho Floating Market & Cu Chi Tunnels" tour several months in advance for our honeymoon. We planned a large part of our Vietnam itinerary around this exact tour and were genuinely excited about it. Then, on the evening before the tour, after we had already arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, they simply sent us a message saying the tour was cancelled because there weren't enough participants. No warning. No prior communication. Nothing. Instead, they immediately tried to sell us a private tour for roughly twice the price. This completely ruined our plans. Had they informed us even a few days earlier, we could have booked with another operator. Instead, they waited until the very last minute, leaving us with virtually no alternatives. What frustrates me most is not the cancellation itself. Sometimes that happens. It's the complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers who book months in advance and organize an entire trip around a reservation. If your travel plans actually matter and you want to be sure you'll visit the places you've booked, choose another company. VIET FUN TRAVEL COMPANY LIMITED is simply not reliable.

We had a wonderful day with an amazing guide, Kaydee! It started perfect with good and clear instructions from the company. Followed up by Kaydees communication about pick up. We got up early in the morning and me and my friend ended up in a total group of 5 people. That was amazing 😍 the atmosphere was chill and we just took life as it was. Got to meet lots of locals and Kaydee was brilliant in following us around. We can highly recommend this to any one else! It was perfectly situated and planned out in a good manner! One of the highlights of our trip. Pick up was a bit disorganised but the rest of the day made up for it. The island was so interesting and trying all the fruits and drinks. Loved it.
What a great day we had with our guide Mike. Everything ran smoothly and on time, from communication the day before, to pickup and drop off. Mike was fun, knowledgeable and caring about his guests. This is not one of those touristy trips where you are bothered all the time with vendors trying to sell you souvenirs. There are spots where you can buy but there is no pressure. It’s about seeing how the locals live. You see the floating markets and have breakfast noodles on one boat, coffee on another and fruit on yet another. You visit a family to see their house. Then there is the fish farm and local orchards before lunch. All followed by a river cruise. This is like a foodies tour! Thank you Mike for giving us an insight into the life of the southern Delta locals. We will recommend this tour to all our friends coming to Vietnam.
I had a fantastic experience on this tour, thanks especially to our guide, Tuan. From the very beginning, he was incredibly enthusiastic, cheerful, and full of positive energy. It was truly contagious. He explained everything clearly, so we always knew what to expect, and his storytelling made the whole experience engaging and enjoyable. You could really tell he loves what he does. The tour itself was very well organized. We got to see a wide variety of places, taste local food, and experience so many different aspects along the way. Everything ran smoothly, and there was a great balance between activities. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Tuan as your guide!

We had a fantastic day. The pick up time was daunting but totally worth it. We saw real river life and did many activities. Good for all ages. We are A LOT of great food. Our wonderful tour guide even sang for us. A trip highlight for sure.
I'd spent hours looking for a good Mekong trip from HCMC that wasn't the same exact itinerary as every other place (honey farm, coconut candy, etc). I was so glad I found this one that gets you deeper into the heart of the Mekong Delta area. This was such a great find! Although pickup was early, the bus was comfortable and cool to rest in before making it to the destination. It was great to see the floating market and learn more about how locals use it. Mr. Happy was a really sweet guide, making sure that we got to understand the stories of the locals for ourselves: from eating pho for breakfast on the river, to visiting a family boat where 3 generations live together and sell pineapple, to learning how the dried rice noodles are made, visiting other locals' boats, seeing the fish farm, and more. In addition to being attentive to the whole group and making sure our trip went smoothly, he was also very genuine and shared some personal stories and insightful Buddhist philosophy with us. Nice, knowledgeable guide. Since it was private for us 4 we got better contact and info about the country. Tried many different things but always felt like we had plenty of time. Recommended.
