Wij zijn het enige bedrijf in Ho-Chi-Minh-stad dat een tour met een kleine groep naar Ben-Duoc-tunnels aanbiedt, een niet-toeristische route voor degenen die inzicht willen krijgen in de oorlog in Vietnam. Bến Dược-tunnels liggen ongeveer 20 km verder dan het populaire Bến-Đình-gebied en trekken minder buitenlandse toeristen aan. Er is ook een enorme tempel ter nagedachtenis aan Vietnamezen gedood in Củ Chi, het is op dit moment het grootste oorlogsmonument in Việt Nam. Ophalen van het hotel om 8:00 uur en verlaten Ho Chi Minh-stad. We rijden ongeveer 1,5 uur door het aangename platteland naar het Cu Chi-district. Te midden van de levendige drukte van de straten van Sài Gòn vertrokken we richting de historische Củ Chi-tunnels, waarbij we de stedelijke drukte achter ons lieten voor een reis door de rijke geschiedenis en cultuur van Vietnam. We maken een korte pitstop bij een plaatselijke lakwerkfabriek om ons op te frissen en het toilet te gebruiken.
Bij aankomst bezoekt u eerst de Củ Chi Liberation Area Reconstruction Zone, die 50 hectare beslaat en gebeurtenissen uit de strijd van het land tijdens de oorlog nabootst, inclusief de periodes van intense conflicten. Deze zone biedt een unieke kans om met eigen ogen te zien hoe de oorlog het dagelijks leven beïnvloedde van de mensen die tussen 1961 en 1972 in Củ Chi woonden en vochten.
Daarna zullen we ongeveer 1,5 - 2 uur in het tunnelgebied doorbrengen. Uw bezoeken omvatten, in willekeurige volgorde: Bekijk een korte propagandavideo over de Vietnamoorlog om het Vietnamese perspectief beter te begrijpen. We verkennen verschillende ondergrondse bunkers, waaronder een keuken, vergaderruimte en munitieopslag, en bezoeken ook wapen- en boobytrap-tentoonstellingen tijdens uw bezoek. Navigeren door de authentieke VC-tunnels, met optionele keuzes van 20m, 60m of 100m afstanden. Bezoek aan een schietbaan waar je de mogelijkheid hebt om AK47's en M16's af te vuren (houd er rekening mee dat de kosten van kogels niet zijn inbegrepen). Ervaar de smaak van lokale thee en tapioca, die VC-strijders jarenlang ondersteunden tijdens de oorlog.
Deze enorme tempel ter nagedachtenis aan Vietnamezen die in Củ Chi zijn omgekomen, is momenteel het grootste oorlogsmonument in Vietnam. Je heerlijke vijfgangenlunch wordt geserveerd in een lokaal restaurant. Proef de smaken van de authentieke Vietnamese keuken terwijl je de ambiance en gastvrijheid van de lokale bevolking in je opneemt.
