Fantastic experience. Clay works out of his home studio which is lovely and upon entry you get a look at some of the pieces he created. The class is great - Clay is super knowledgeable and was great with my 10 year old son. My boy is CC already asking to do another class.

We had a lot of fun in Clay’s resin workshop. He was accommodating and knowledgeable and guided us to make beautiful pieces ! We would highly recommend :)

My friend and I are local, but took this class as a fun birthday activity and had a blast! The studio is in a cool shopping and dining neighborhood close to the subway, and we had fun exploring both before and after the class. Clay was an excellent instructor who provided clear instructions and encouragement. We got to choose from a variety of different project options and Clay helped us to figure out how to get the colors and effects we wanted. It was a fun hour and a half where we got to create and learn something new, and i would definitely recommend the experience.

This class was a birthday gift for my wife. The class was held in a studio owned by Clay who was very gracious, accommodating, friendly and helpful. I have little artistic ability but really enjoy art and especially enjoyed this class. He taught us the process of making resin artwork and gave us many options for our unique designs. We each chose which silicone molds we wanted to use for our designs, and also the colors, pigments and dyes. Because the process of creating the artwork can produce odors, we wore respirator masks as a safety precaution. We spent an hour and a half in the class. My designs were completely different from my wife’s which added to the experience. The finished pieces need 2 - 3 days to fully dry, so they will be shipped to us. I highly recommend this class and plan to return very soon.

What a great experience! Creating with resin was on my wish list and Clay’s workshop exceeded my expectations. First we choose what we could make…a plate, box, coasters etc. Then a multitude of pigments, color drops and paint. We mixed, we dabbled with sticks, toothpicks and even a heat gun. Wow and we were done. We left our creation to dry. I can’t wait to get the package in the mail. I plan to return.

This is an intimate, almost individualized lesson. Clay is a successful artist with amazing credits. He cares about your success. His studio immerses you into his world. He is friendly and patient. This was an ultimate experience. Having been to New York on my 15th trip, I can say I truly felt immersed in authentic New York vibe. Treat yourself to creating and bringing home a piece of artistic Big Apple.

First time working with resin, the instructor is very nice and helpful, and guided me through the entire process to make sure I turn what I imagined into reality. I love the final outcome so much and had a lot of fun!

Perfect experience! Part of a girls trip with my young adult daughter. Clay was so welcoming and a great instructor plus so encouraging in our beginner work on resin. After two very busy NYC sightseeing days it was perfect to relax in a beautiful art studio and connect with making - at least trying to - something beautiful.

Working with a professional, working artist in Soho and learning his art form was such an incredible treat. Clay is knowledgeable and friendly, and shared his expertise to make this art form feel accessible and really fun. The class itself was fantastic and I loved the finished product. I made a jewelry tray and it came wrapped so beautifully I felt like I was receiving a gift! If you’re looking for a truly unique experience definitely check this out!

Clay is an excellent, smart, warm, collaborative, patient and sincerely wonderful teacher. He explained the science behind the project, and had several creative methods up his sleeve to accomplish my idea. I recommend any and all art classes with Clay- a perfect creative break for a family, couples or solo travelers! It’s so much fun!
