Ga op een magische tour door Edinburgh met onze leuke Potter-gids en bekijk de plekken die JK Rowling inspireerden om haar tovenaarsuniversum te creëren! Ga vervolgens naar het ongelooflijke Edinburgh Castle met tickets inbegrepen! We beginnen bij Tron Kirk op The Royal Mile en gaan eerst naar het historische Waverley Station. Ga vervolgens naar Edinburgh University Old College, een beroemde oude campus die veel inspiratie bood voor JK Rowlings creaties. We vervolgen onze tocht door de sfeervolle oude stad en stoppen bij Greyfriars Kirkyard, dat Tom Riddle's Grave inspireerde, en passeren het Elephant Café waar JK Rowling urenlang zat te dromen over de wereld van Harry Potter! Krijg een geweldig uitzicht op Edinburgh Castle op weg naar Victoria Street, waarvan gezegd wordt dat het de inspiratie was voor Diagon Alley, en we eindigen bij Edinburgh City Chambers, waar je meer leert over de impact van JK Rowling op de stad. Nadat u uw gids en mede-Potter-liefhebbers ontmoet bij de Tron Kirk Market, begint uw tour met een wandeling langs de wereldberoemde Royal Mile van Edinburgh!
We stoppen bij een geweldig uitkijkpunt om het historische Waverley treinstation te zien, dat veel werd gebruikt door J.K. Rowling en een inspiratiebron was voor treinen als iconisch onderdeel van de reis van een jonge tovenaar.
Terwijl u over Edinburgh New Town uitkijkt, zal uw gids u wijzen op een aantal belangrijke kenmerken die een belangrijke rol speelden bij het ontstaan van de magische Harry Potter-wereld.
Vervolgens passeren we deze beroemde oude campus die veel inspiratie bood voor de creaties van JK Rowling… Deze plek doet je misschien denken aan Zweinstein!
We vervolgen onze tocht door de sfeervolle straten van de oude stad, waar uw gids u veel van de beroemdste historische bezienswaardigheden van de stad laat zien.
Op dit griezelige kerkhof zul je veel herkenbare namen uit de Potterwereld tegenkomen - dit is de plek waar Tom Riddell begraven ligt en een aantal andere namen die voor de personages van JK Rowling zijn gebruikt.
U geniet van een prachtig uitzicht op dit prachtige oude kasteel, dat een grote rol speelt in de Schotse geschiedenis en tevens een inspiratiebron was voor JK Rowlings Potter-universum.
Met zijn kleurrijke, onafhankelijke winkels, overhangende straatnaamborden en de geplaveide straat die kronkelt en uit het zicht verdwijnt, is het niet moeilijk te begrijpen waarom dit de inspiratiebron zou zijn geweest voor de Wegisweg!
We sluiten de rondleiding af bij de City Chambers, waar we de impact van JK Rowling op Edinburgh zelf kunnen zien en welke grote bijdragen zij aan de lokale gemeenschap heeft geleverd.
Na de tour krijgt u uw Edinburgh Castle-tickets om de verbluffende architectuur, de Crown Jewels, Stone of Destiny en het National War Museum te verkennen. Geniet van adembenemende stadsgezichten vanaf de uitkijkpunten van het kasteel in uw eigen tempo.

Were very disappointed with this tour. Our tour guide was a young girl must not have much experience. Had a heavy Scottish accent and spoke fast, not loud enough and kept turning her face away which made it very hard to understand. She didn't have a sign or prop to follow her on extremely busy streets. Did not wait for the group. And worst of all did not tell us the entrance tickets to the castle were in an email that was sent that very morning while we were traveling. Our friends didn't get the email until it was too late to go in the castle, we got the email but spent over an hour trying to call Viator asking for the tickets, got them and ran inside the castle but were able to go in for just 15 minutes before going back to our cruise. It was a terrible experience, the tour guide seemed to have knowledge about the Harry Potter author connection but had no clue how to conduct a group tour.

Hazel (aka "Witch Hazel") was fantastic! This was my first tour of the trip and I'm so glad I booked it. Hazel provided a great blend of Edinburgh history with the elements that inspired JK Rowling's Harry Potter novels. I chose the option with the Edinburgh castle tickets and, after the tour, Hazel made sure I knew the right direction to go and gave us some great recommendations for lunch spots in the city. I had a really great time and would definitely recommend this tour as a great introduction to the city for any Harry Potter fans.
This tour is for people that want a guide to nice stops in Edinburgh and to hear about J.K. Writing the books. Not for anyone looking for film sites, or to meet the characters, etc. Not a trip for kids, better for adults that are serious fans.
This is a great behind the scenes history of how Edinburgh contributed to JK Rowling creating Harry Potter. Our tour guide, Kirstie, was phenomenal. She was so knowledgeable and a truly entertaining guide. I’d tour with her again anytime. The tour is fun for kids and adults alike. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Hazel made the experience absolutely AMAZING!! she was incredibly knowledgeable, a true Ravenclaw! We had our 2 year old with us and even he gave her a high five at the end! And he is hard to impress 😁
What a very nice tour and our guide, Robert, knew a lot. We thought he was great. He left on time and didn't let small setbacks fool him. At one of the stops, the museum, the fire alarm sounded so we could not enter there. He immediately contacted the organization and we continued the tour not long after and made a stop elsewhere. Fantastically arranged. He also knew a lot to tell. We learned a lot about the background of the Harry Potter books. Tip for the organization: reports that the tour may not be as convenient / accessible for strollers / buggies because of the boulders and stairs.
Took the HP walking tour with guide Jackson. For reference- I am US Middle aged woman and had my young adult daughter who loves HP with my husband and teen son- who both don’t really know HP. And Jackson delivered! He kept it interesting for those of us that know HP while including sights and info that was interesting to those that did not. He delivered HP origin info that I did not know. His energy and pacing was great. Glad to have castle entry tickets at the end so we could go in and explore- with beautiful views. We doubled back to some other places too- it was a great old town introduction. Recommend highly!
