De voorgestelde route is zorgvuldig gepland om u te voet (in het voetgangersgebied) en met de auto kennis te laten maken met Mykonos. Je ziet de hoogtepunten van het eiland en je zwemt in het kristalheldere water!

Nadat je bent opgehaald bij je ophaallocatie (je hotel of de cruiseschiphaven), loop je met onze gids in het labyrint van de oude stad tussen de witgekalkte gebouwen. Als je geluk hebt, vind je Petros de pelikaan, de mascotte van Mykonos. Je krijgt de tijd die nodig is voor het maken van foto's.
Verderop naast dit prachtige gebied op de heuvel, zie je de windmolens van Mykonos op het noorden. De sterke wind Meltemi heeft de lokale bevolking van het eiland geholpen om tarwe te malen. Op veel Cycladische eilanden zijn windmolens heel gewoon en ze zijn voor hetzelfde doel gemaakt.
Elk pad dat je op het eiland Mykonos neemt, leidt je naar de haven van Alefkadra, waar je de kans krijgt om ver terug te reizen naar de geschiedenis van het eiland. Alefkandra is waar Klein Venetië ligt. In Klein Venetië kun je het eindeloze blauw van de Egeïsche Zee bewonderen.
.Αgios Ioannis is een klein toeristisch dorpje in het zuidwesten van het eiland, 2,5 km van Ornos. Het is gebouwd in een amfitheater en ligt tegenover Delos, waar natuurlijke schoonheid wordt gecombineerd met uitstekende toeristische accommodaties.
Terwijl we onze tour voortzetten, passeren we enkele van de meest afgelegen stranden van Mykonos, genaamd "Agia Anna" en "Kalo Livadi", en komen we aan in het dorp Ano Mera.
We passeren het pittoreske plein van het dorp, dat wordt begrensd door taverna's en coffeeshops in de buitenlucht, en bieden u een lichte snack vergezeld van een glas tsipouro (gedistilleerde Griekse geest)
Dit is een lang zandstrand dat, hoewel populair bij de lokale bevolking en toeristen, toch voldoende ruimte biedt voor jezelf. Het is meestal in tweeën gedeeld, parasols en ligbedden aan de ene kant, alleen zand aan de andere kant. Het biedt kristalhelder water en een redelijk geprijsd restaurant in vergelijking met de rest van Mykonos.
Aangekomen in het dorp Ano Mera, bezoekt u het 16e-eeuwse kathedraalklooster van Panagia Tourliani. Het is genoemd naar de koepel (tourlos) van de kerk en de gezegende icoon van de Maagd Maria.
De mooie kerk van Panagia (Maagd Maria) Paraportiani is een van de meest gefotografeerde kerken, niet alleen in Mykonos, maar in de hele wereld. Het is gelegen bij de ingang van de wijk Kastro, direct aan zee. De naam (Paraportiani) betekent eigenlijk naast de toegangsdeur staan, wat betekent dat de kerk naast de kasteeldeur stond.
De nederzetting Agios Ioannis is vernoemd naar de kleine kerk van Sint-Jan die is gebouwd op de heuvel met uitzicht op het strand. Het is een van de meest bevoorrechte plekken van het eiland Mykonos vanwege het adembenemende uitzicht op het heilige eiland Delos en enkele van de beste hotels in Mykonos. I am trying to figure out how this excursion received 5 stars. We literally visited a place where you sit and look at the back door. There were places on the agenda that we didn’t go to. We even had time left at the end. We asked to go to a restaurant with the remaining time the driver said no. The lunch was an absolute joke food enough for a 10years old kid. Stopped at the beach asked us if we brought clothes to swim but only stayed 15 min. Had a person on our trip with Covid refused to provide her a refund.
Maria a native of the island was the sweetest and such a fun guide full of lots of great info, conversation and held my terms attention. Highly recommend!
Such a fun tour with the adorable Renata. She was extremely personable and ensured we all had a great time. She was very knowledgeable, sharing stories and the history of Mykonos. We stopped to visit a 16th-century monastery, had a light lunch with a small glass of tsipouro, picked up pastries at the oldest bakery in Mykonos Town and had drinks at a beach bar. She gave us many photo opportunities and assisted with taking our photos throughout the tour including the Windmills and beautiful Little Venice. She even brought carrots for us to feed a donkey. A truly memorable experience of Mykonos. Highly recommended.
Doing a small group tour was definitely quite a change from some of our other tours with large buses, etc. Doing the small group tour in a small van also allowed us to go some places the larger buses couldn't go. We left the tour really feeling like we got a good overview of the city We were met directly outside the cruise port with our guide holding up a sign for us. Our guide (shoot, sorry I can't remember her name) really seemed to have a true love for mykonos, she wasn't just there doing a job and then going back home, she was from here and really cared about it. We got to make quite a few stops at various points that none of hte other cruise visitors got to see, including some free time on one of the sandy beaches (yes we got in at least enough to drop our toes and feel the water), a restaurant for a delicious snack and drink, several scenic spots for photos, and even feeding a donkey and emu with some carrots they'd brought. Finished the tour with a brief exploration of the windmills and the main city itself which we continued to explore after the tour was over but before heading back to the ship. Overall would definitely recommend the tour if you're wanting a different experience from what the cruise line had to offer, and get an overall experience of mykonos.
Maria’s tour is wonderful, as a local she is able to tell the story and history of Mykonos outside of the nightlife. Chris is also an expert driver on the roads.
We had a wonderful afternoon tour with Maria as our guide and Elena as our driver exploring the island Mykonos. Maria had a lovely personality and was able to keep us informed on all that we were seeing as we drove around Mykonos. I was thankful Maria and the restaurant we stopped in for a small tasting of a traditional Greek mezze platter were able to easily accommodate for vegans. The jeep they drove us around had great ac and WiFi, and we were able to see some terrific viewpoints around Mykonos that we wouldn’t have known about or have easily been able to get to. Overall this was a great tour to explore the various areas of Mykonos.

Maria and Chris were excellent. Maria was very knowledgeable but also brought in personal information/memories that added interest. We covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of the island in the time available. Highly recommended
We had a blast visiting Mykonos and seeing it through the eyes of our guide, Zoe. She knew the island’s ancient and modern history, and also lives in its always-partying culture - she was able to show us the way it’s become a tourism destination for high-end beach clubs and town bars. Maybe not our scene, but fun to learn about and peek into.
Very insightful and relaxed way to view the beautiful island of Mykonos with friendly guides. It was very much worth the money
