Tijdens deze tour van een halve dag naar de Grotten van Drach: de beste grotten van Mallorca, beleef je een unieke ervaring terwijl je wordt meegenomen op een roeiboot op het prachtige meer van Martel, inclusief een klassiek muziekconcert van de Grotten van Drach.

Op weg naar de Grotten passeren we het charmante stadje Montuïri, bekend om zijn iconische windmolens. Montuïri is historisch verbonden met de graan- en meelproductie en weerspiegelt het rijke culturele erfgoed en de landelijke tradities van het binnenland van Mallorca.
We komen nu bij de beroemde "Cuevas del Drach", of "Dragon Caves", een ondergronds wonder miljoenen jaren in de maak. Deze grotten fascineren historici, geografen en reizigers al generaties lang. Dankzij je vooraf geboekte ticket sla je de wachtrij over en ga je meteen de ervaring in. Je hebt ongeveer 1 uur en 30 minuten de tijd om de grotten in je eigen tempo te verkennen en volop te genieten van dit natuurwonder.
Binnen in de grotten volgt u een zelfstandige route die u langs spectaculaire rotsformaties leidt, allemaal prachtig verlicht om hun natuurlijke schoonheid te benadrukken. De tour culmineert bij Lake Martel, een van de grootste ondergrondse meren ter wereld. Hier kunt u genieten van een kort live concert met klassieke muziek in een werkelijk magische omgeving. Na afloop heb je de mogelijkheid om een korte maar gedenkwaardige houten boottocht over het meer te maken — een uniek en schilderachtig moment inbegrepen in je tour. U zult ook getuige zijn van een subtiele lichtshow die een zonsopgang simuleert, wat bijdraagt aan de magie van het bezoek.

- Deze ervaring is geschikt voor de meeste bezoekers, inclusief senioren. Je hoeft je niet te haasten — het hele bezoek door de grotten duurt ongeveer 2 uur, waardoor je genoeg tijd hebt om comfortabel in je eigen tempo te lopen. The tour lasts just over one hour and there are are many steps. Employees with torches light your way. The stalactites and stalagmites are impressive though lit only with yellow light. After the downhill section you are seated in a large auditorium in front of the lakes where a boat carrying a string quartet and pianist play as they are rowed around. The concert lasts about 10 minutes. You can then choose to return via the bridge or across the lake. There was some confusion as to who went where but the boats hold about 16 people so the queue moved quickly though the ride itself was only a couple of minutes. It was beautiful and worth doing. No photos are allowed during the concert but are allowed at all other times so beware of people stopping suddenly or posing for selfies. Compared to other caves (eg Gibraltar) the lighting was unimpressive but the concert and boat made up for it. I expected a larger and more impressive series of lakes so maybe expectations and reality didn’t match!

We left 35 minutes late... Exceptional experience. I had never attended a music show in a cave before. It was magical. I would have liked to film or take photos during the show, but that is not allowed. Since there were about 500 people, I was unable to take the boat tour at the end, and I would have really liked to do that. Otherwise, we would have arrived late to the bus for the return trip.

Excellent guide but it was a bit monotonous having to listen to everything in 4 different languages. I would have liked to learn more about the caves and Spain, but basically 75% of what the guide said we could not understand. Bus was very clean and the AC worked well.

An unbelievable natural gem, surreal cave and very well managed , bus tour was smooth and well organized. Definitely worth it. After the tour we walked the city area around the cathedral, the restaurant and cafe options were amazing.

Beautiful cave but the staff was not pleasant; there was no time to admire because you always had to rush, too many people to enjoy the boat ride, an activity to do by yourself but not on an excursion, as you go around the hotels to pick up people!!!!!!!!!! But they do not tell you this when booking at the hotels!!!!!!
