Hospital Cave is een miniatuurziekenhuis in het hart van de berg, gebouwd in 1963–1965 tijdens de oorlog, bestaande uit 3 verdiepingen en 17 aparte kamers met verschillende functies. natuurlijke grot met veel stalactieten in de koele grot waar je het geluid kunt horen van kleine waterdruppels die uit de stalactieten op het plafond naar beneden stromen, 300 meter lang vanaf de zijkant door de berg naar de andere kant. Beklim honderden stenen trappen en het bospad naar de top van Ngu Lam Peak, waar je de majestueuze schoonheid van het oerbos op de eilanden kunt zien (op en neer naar Ngu Lam Peak in 2 uur). Wandel naar beneden om de galerij met flora- en faunaspecimens in Cat Ba National Park te bekijken. In het bos hoor je de symfonie van de bergen: zingende vogels, het geluid van insecten en de roep van dieren zoals nertsen, eekhoorns en apen.

You can easily do this walk by yourself as there’s only 1 path to follow and everyone goes the same way no matter if you’re with a guide or doing it solo.
Just a fun half day with a great fun guide. A good workout. Breathtaking views once you get the top.
Tough walk to the viewpoint for 60+, especially the last bit. Hospital cave and cave with stalactites and stalagmites were worth the visit.
Viet took us on a half day hike to Ngu Lam peak, Trung Tran Cave and hospital cave. He was so interesting and informative about the national park and history of Vietnam too. We really appreciated his insight. Taking the tour meant we could fit in the activities in our short time at Cat Ba Island.
Absolutely not happy. Booked the tour and the driver never showed up. They pretty much just up and took our money. No tour. no nothing. Extremely disappointed.
From pick up to finish it was a mazing experience, not too full on, but still a challenge. You got to experience fantastic parts of Cat Ba. Our guide and driver was lovely, kind and very informative of the nature, history, culture and religion ♡. Overall amazing experience! Thank you!

The walk was great! Our guide Phuc led our group with great enthusiasm and care. Ngu Lam Peak has very beautiful views. Cave Hospital is a very rich testimony of a Vietnamese of other times. It was worth it!
